Deep Within - MinecraftParty Beta

Hello! This is a post to show you that the MinecraftParty server hasn't always been the way it is. There were unused ideas, unused implementations, minor and major changes to current minigames, and minigames that just didn't make the final cut. Let's get started!

FIRST MINIGAME CUT: Boat Race
In this game, the player would race others down a waterslide in a boat to win the game, but the player also must avoid crashing into logs while racing at top speed. This most likely caused lag on the server and was too difficult, which were probably the reasons it didn't make the final cut.

MAJOR CHANGES: Smoke Monster
Yes, even the lovely Smoke Monster has changed. The monster itself had been the same, but it was rather the stage it was played on. The first version was built in the depths of the Nether and was built with only Netherrack. It was then updated to be built in the sky of the overworld, but it was made out of redstone instead. The final version settled with Nether Bricks, Stone Bricks, Chiseled Stone Bricks, and even a well to mark the center of the arena.

MAJOR CHANGES: Rainbow Jump
The parkour challenge in the beta was not much of a challenge at all; none of the parkour was seperated, meaning it was one big piece, ice blocks never mixed in with the wool blocks, like in the final version, and you must jump off a big sheet of ice to finish the race, instead of just jumping off a thin area of ice. In the final version, some pixel art was added, a gap was added in to raise the difficulty level, and the ice mixed in with the wool blocks near the end.

UNUSED IMPLEMENTATION: Horse Race
No, I'm not saying the whole game was unused; rather it was one particular stage. The game was the same as the final version, except instead of Wario Stadium, there was a race track made entirely of stone where the player also must avoid running into a vertical lava stream and a pool of lava during and near the end of the race respectively. This was most likely cut as the development team had room for improvement.

MAJOR CHANGES: Diamond Mine & Chicken Game
These two games had almost the exact same arena in the beta version. The Diamond Mine was surrounded by only a wall of bedrock and you could even use torches, which you could not do in the final version. In the final version of MinecraftParty, the Diamond Mine was given a setting like a construction in progress. The Chicken Game was an arena surrounded by stone rather than bedrock, and in the final version, the surroundings show a farm in a small town.

MAJOR CHANGES: Lobby
Yes, even the lobby went through major changes. In the beta, the lobby was an exact castle replica from the castle in Mario 64. In the final version, it's a quartz castle, in which it has a similar interior, but the exterior is completely different.
