Recoil Update Information

    Recently, all weapons received recoil back. The lack of recoil was a bug caused when the plugins preventing recoil jumping broke. It has since been patched. However, the new recoil values differ from the recoil values from May.
    This is a thread that shows how recoil has changed compared to the old recoil prior to the bug.
    Recoil increases are red, while recoil decreases are green. If recoil was left the same or if it was recently added (SMGs), it will be gray.
    Template: gunname - old recoil > new recoil
    • m16 - 0 > 0.02
    • m4a1 - 0 > 0.02
    • ak47 - 0.04 > 0.08
    • famas - 0 > 0.045
    • lemantation - 0.02 > 0.025
    • skullcrusher - 0 > 0.055
    • l118a - 0.4 > 0.5
    • dragunov - 0.3 > 0.25
    • barret50c - 1 > 0.375
    • msr - 0.4 > 0.3
    • l120_isolator - 0.4 > 0.8
    • disassembler - 0 > 0.15
    • m1014 - 0.5 > 0.3
    • spas12 - 0.5 > 0.5
    • aa12 - 0.01 > 0.08
    • moddel1887 - 1.85 > 1.5
    • spas24 - 0.5 > 0.35
    • typhoid - 0.3 > 0.3
    • usp45 - 0 > 0
    • m9 - 0 > 0.0425
    • magnum - 0 > 0.035
    • deserteagle - 0.2 > 0.06
    • executioner - 0 > 0.15

    Some of these values have not been updated yet, so wait until the War servers restart to see the changes. (less recoil)
    Don't start any flame wars or whine about the recoil values; this is an informative thread, not a place to complain.
    However, if you have any suggestions for changes, feel free to suggest them.

    I like how the Skullcrusher got some recoil added to it. The gun was just too op with no recoil + high damage.

    I agree that it was OP without recoil. Killed faster than minigun while conserving ammo and having no recoil.
    However, I'm a little concerned regarding the fact that it's a lot harder to move with some weapons, especially the less powerful weapons. I'm considering the M16 and M4A1 especially.

    The current recoil it had was a little overwhelming when compared to the other guns. It was toned down a bit. Note that its recoil is still quite high.

    Because it was the only gun that allowed you to get out of map by abusing the high recoil. If recoil were to be added back, it would have to be decreased so players couldn't abuse the recoil glitch again.

    Yes but the moddel fire 10 gauge shotgun shells which are much larger than 12 gauge shells

    It has about twice as much recoil as the Isolator, the weapon with the second most recoil. Is that not fine?
    Besides, the SPAS-12 fires 12G and doesn't have much recoil in comparison.

    Im not 100% with this, Skully is ruined for me and raygun... I understand it was op but now... Also I think its a bug but. The raygun sometimes shoots like 8 bullets extremely fast and it reloads straight away and you lose lots of ammo, Skully now is just horrible, you can't even jump with it!!! But this is still a good idea because skully was 1 shot... and model before had no recoil (correct me if i'm wrong) And atleast now I won't be spammed by a model.
