New New Application Idea!

After looking at this thread and this one I thought to myself, "I should totally make a new idea too!"

This concept is fairly simple. The only problem is I am not sure if XenForo can deliver. Once a person creates an application a link will be created, near the bottom, that people can click on. What does this new and shiny link do you ask? Easy! It takes you to the applicant's newly opened profile application commenting section. The title could be along the lines of "So and so's (name of application) comment section."
Players will then be able to write and post their thoughts about the application here.

The reason I went with this idea.
1.) Players can finally critique applications!
2.) Having it in the owner's profile makes it so they can delete unnecessary remarks.

Some other details.
1.) The section would be up for posting as long as the thread is not locked.
2.) Multiple comment sections for different threads. Distinguishable by different thread titles.
3.) What the tab section could look like on one's profile.

Players would inevitably post of unwanted comments, that is a given. The is the beauty of it, dear friend, is self moderation! The profile owner will be able to freely delete comments they wish to exclude. This will give the person applying a sense of what it can be like to moderate, staff can get a broad picture of how the player handles things by what they delete, and in general will clean up the negative and unwanted posts leaving nothing but goodwill if they so desire.

Since it is a side section of the player's profile the comments would only be viewable through that one tab section.
I totally agree with keeping things neat and tidy.

Think about it like this. Once you click on the tab it will bring you to a similar place you can comment. It will still be apart if the person profile. The only difference is that one is for specifically for application criticism.
The link will be on the application thread as well and will take you to this new tab in the owner's profile.

 

That is the whole point this idea gravitates around.
If ten people respond with "no" those messages can go. That is why public commenting was taken down in the first place. Or if something is being really nasty that could go as well.
All these suggestions about public comments are trying to fix the reason why it was stopped in the first place. With my idea the owner can hold the power to keep their received comments clean. If they wish it of course.

I understand what you are saying and I agree that someone eventually will delete a posts based on what you said. Others would more than likely see this and that would only add, even if al little, to the over all feel of the application.
You could even make it so staff can see what messages were deleted. That would solve your dilemma.
The problem with having moderators do this is what should be deleted to them is not something the owner wants. Maybe the owner wants it to stay so they can have a reference later on. Plus moderators would have to go through the whole process of deleting a post which would add more clutter.
