    I believe players should be able to message each other whilst the reciever of the message is offline. When a player comes online they would get a notification saying if they got any mail whilst offline.

    Notification: You have recieved (number) mail whilst offline

    Commands:

    /Mail Read
    /Mail send (name) (message)

    I think this would be great for friends in differant timezones so that they could update each other whilst offline. Or this could be used in many other ways.

    Not a bad idea however you can do that on the forums.
    The only problem is that the mail command is kind of universal on servers that use essentials so maybe we could call it something else... Such as /message or something...

    I know a few people whose parents won't let them on weird websites like our forums. I'm all for this. Kids who don't understand, like, or are allowed to use the forums could use this functionality.

    I think this is a good idea. Not everyone uses the forum, so a command to substitute as a line of communication would be useful.

    Well yes but you can only /msg or /tell when the receiving player is online. This would let you message players while they are offline and the receiving player would get a notification when they come back online.

    I like the idea but it may get annoying if your getting it from random people and people you don't want. Maybe we can make it for people on your friends list only.

    On Topic: This would be a good idea, although I don't think it should be a new command. It should add on the command /message. If someone is offline it just lets them know when they come online. Anyone have ideas on how to avoid spam (I'm thinking about it)?

    Well that has already been established. And @soccerstars has come up with a good solution to spam, making this only available to players on your friend list.

    There used to be a /mail command. Would like this, a way to communicate to someone in game.

    There should also be /mail off and /mail on to turn off and on your mail, so if members want to disable mail because of spam and stuff.

    That's actually an extremely good solution to spam. This would also allow people not on your friends list to be able to message you and if you don't like it simply turn it off.
