    Alright, so I'm trying to play minecraft/go on my computer in general and my computer goes insane then freezes

    Does anyone know what this is? (Using a mac btw)

    1. You run out of memory.
    2. You are playing with mods, like Optifine installed.

    You're quite vague. What do you mean by "goes insane"...?
    My guess is that you have a virus on your computer, from that vague description.

    Well, whenever I play anything after a while the screen distorts and then freezes.

    I had the same problem with my computer (Macbook Pro from 2012). I took it to the Apple store, and it turned out that the motherboard was broken or something. So they replaced it for free since I still have apple care.

    Not sure if you have the same problem, but if you have apple care, I'd take it to the store to get it fixed.
