Hey Guys! I am StrideMyRouter and I have recently thought of an idea that a few friends and I thought would be an awesome addition to Mc-WarZ.

So, basically, the idea that I came up with was a landmine. So, you could place it like barbwire, but you could only place it on the ground. You wouldn't be able to place it on half slabs, walls, ladders, stuff like that. When you would find it and place it, it would turn invisible and it would put the letter "L" in the middle of the block, so you would be able to see that it is a landmine.

I believe the only you would be able to see the block with the letter "L" in the middle. If only yourself could see it, it would make it a lot harder for other players. The person that placed the landmine would be unable to set the landmine off but ANYONE else that stepped on it would be able to, including your teammates. This would make the game more difficult and challenging for not only your enemies, but for your allies as well.

Thinking about how you would get them and how much damage it does? Well, pretty simple!

To find/receive these landmines, you would have to be in a Zone 6, and they would spawn as often as diamond so you wouldn't be able to just place a bunch and kill a full diamond just like that. Basically, you know how you find Diamond Helmets and Diamond Boots more then Diamond Chestplates and Diamond Leggings? My friend and I talked about this and thought it would be if you were able to find them as often as the Diamond Helmets and Diamond Boots.

Regarding the damage (This is how many hearts it would do):

    Full Diamond - 3 Hearts.
    3/4 Diamond - 3 1/2 Hearts.
    1/2 Diamond - 4 Hearts
    1/4 Diamond - 4 1/2 Hearts.

    Full Iron - 5 Hearts.
    3/4 Iron - 5 1/2 Hearts.
    1/2 Iron - 6 Hearts.
    1/4 Iron - 6 1/2 Hearts.

    Full Leather - 7 Hearts.
    3/4 Leahter - 7 1/2 Hearts.
    1/2 Leather - 8 Hearts.
    1/4 Leather - 9 Hearts.

    No Armor - 10 Hearts.

So, that was the idea I thought of, hope you guys like it!

Not going to review the damage values. I'll leave @BrawlerAce_ to do that, but I do like the concept.

The point is if your the enemy your not supposed to see it. You don't see landmines in War in real life.

The damage values are a bit off, I'm not entirely sure if you understand how the armor system works, but it's a nice idea.

+0 from me, I'm undecided as to whether I think this idea should be added.

Does this really fit in WarZ?
I don't see where it could effectively be applied, or how it would enhance gameplay.
Armor works by taking a percentage of damage away; you can't change that.
It seems quite weak and useless, considering all players spawn with at least leather. But the main problem is the fact that it wouldn't fit in a zombie/bandit survival server.

It's so rare, nobody would actually use them.

I think it should be found in zone 5 as well, also there can be a 1/10 chance of finding it. There's no point of making it super rare. One thing I would like to make in the mechanics is that it takes about 3 seconds to place the land mine. If you were getting chased you could easily plop it down and nearly kill the other player. It should be more used as a trap than a random bomb you find on the ground in a split second.

I made a claymores plugin that was for WarZ, but it never added. Works fairly similar to how you explained this, I'll post a video later.

Isn't WarZ supposed to be based off DayZ? :mooning::muted::punch::vulcan::vamp:

EDIT: Hell no, I just realized people would abuse the hell out of these things and stack a whole bunch up on different logout spots and high traffic areas and it would be instant death.

I see the point you have, but do you really want 10+ land mines in enderchest, or anywhere at all? As you know, quite a good amount of people log out in enderchest, so don't you think people would abuse this? This could be fixed by having it so you can only have landmines in a certain area apart from eachother, 15 blocks might be a reasonable amount.

That is a good point... but a fix could be a line mine will de-spawn after 5-10 minutes?

I like that idea but zone 6 is not the best idea maybe zone 5. But for now +.75 good luck.

You really shouldn't it say that, landmines are some of the most deadly weapons that don't give two ****s if they're killing an enemy, friend, or civilian.
I guess this idea is ok, maybe it could be a textured mushroom since you cannot step on those.

Damage should be increased for that high rarity, and there should be anti land mine, similar to shears but much rarer.
