You may notice that neutral ratings are gone. I decided to do this because the neutral ratings were just causing extra tension, drama, and misuse. While you may say, "Putty you are crazy!." But, I think we will be better off in the long run just doing without them. I plan to implement two or three new positive ratings though.

    What do you all think?

I like this, people just get too mad at each other about ratings. Neutral ones were just being used as negative ones.

    Saw this one coming

Removing "negative" ratings would only lead to people using the disagree rating as a dislike
There's no solution to a problem like this

Eh... Just means we have to now reply to explain if we dislike/disagree with something, can't just whack it on as a rating.

I feel neutral about this, hue.

I would like to think that maybe one day this community would evolve enough to not abuse these ratings...

    Wishful thinking maybe..

    Kinda disappointed.
The neutral ratings weren't really being used in a negative way, with an occasional exception. I found that it was a good way to express my opinions. Now, I can't use the rating system to express my opinion. Feels like a downgrade to the old forum...

The problem is, people sometimes abuse them, and sometimes when people use them correctly, the person who received the negative rating gets mad and does something.

Pointless just became Confusing and Dislike just became Disagree

I guess if you really have an opinion you want to express, you can PM them or post on the thread.

Honestly, I don't like this change. This is just another sign that McBrawl is overstrict; 99% stricter than most server communities.

I feel this is too strict. The disagree rating has an extremely important function, as it can express disagreement without having to reply to a person who may already have gotten responses already.

And if someone replies to this using the "abuse" reason, it still is nothing that a simple report and warning cannot fix, which, if I am not mistaken, is SUPOSSED to be a quick and easy system to go through, as stated when it was first implemented. Disliking is completley different from disagreeing, so there is no negative reason to its removal. Now I don't feel like I can express my opinion as much now.

and if someone does reply to this to disagree, this would be a pretty good time to use that rating

Especially if the thread is in Q & A and is a duplicate of another thread. We won't be able to rate late anymore. >:C

    Can anyone say hugbox?
Neutral ratings were fine. I would prefer to have them back.
I have a feeling this is related to the events that took place on Signatured's thread

    I'm kinda disappointed.
Being an ancient (Not really) on this server I remember only using negative ratings when I felt reeeeally strongly about something.
Now that negative ratings are gone I feel like there's no real way to express feelings w/o starting a flame war, or at least sounding like it.
For example, if someone makes a thread suggesting a new gun for example, and you quote it saying "I don't really like this idea. I seems overpowered and I think it needs a big nerf" the person is probably gonna take that more personally than a simple "Disagree" rating in their alert box.

I would honestly prefer someone telling me what he/she disagrees about rather than souly a disagree rating. Disagree ratings can be rather vague, whereas a comment is straight forward. If you feel strongly about something, wouldn't it make more sense to leave a comment rather than a rating?
