Myth Busting - Hacks on Mc-War

What hacks can do in Mc-War and what not
​

So recently I have read the thread on the hypixel forums about Hacks again and I thought how many wrong hack accusations there are on Mc-War. So this will be a list of hacks that exist and have an effect on the gameplay on Mc-War and there will also be a list of hacks that do not exist/are pointless on War.

Existing Hacks

Spider Hacks
One of the most frequently used hacks on Mc-War. This hack allows you to climb a wall and through this you can get out of the map and to very unfair camper spots especially during infect. It should be fixed by NoCheatPlus, but it still seems to work somehow.
Note: Sometimes the avatar-texture of a player can be buggy. He might me displayed as a few blocks above his real position, but his hitbox is still at his real position. This isn't a hack, its a unfixable bug.

NoKnockback
Although this does not seem to be very useful on Mc-War, it works and can give you a small advantage. But its also very easy to detect and get proof of it, so NoKnockback Hackers usually get banned fast.

Speed
Nothing said, makes you faster. Sometimes its hard to see the difference between the perk "Speed" and this hack, but sprint hackers are usually faster. This hack does not have a large effect on gameplay but on some maps it allows you to jump over a large gap so you can get out of map.

Tracers/Xray/Minimaps with Player Radar/Name Tags
Those hacks work a bit different, but on War they all have the same effect: You can see where other players are. Tracers create a line from you to other players, Xray makes you see through walls, Player Radars show the other players on a minimap and Name Tags makes the name tags of other players larger so you can easily see them. This hack is mainly useful in One in the Chamber and Infect, when there are only a few enemies left and you need to find them. In TDM, CTF, FFA and Gungame there are usually so many enemies around you, that those hacks don't give the user a advantage.

Rapidfire (Bow)
This hack is only useful when you are using a crossbow, it allows you to shoot arrows very fast and far. This is hard to prove sometimes cause the player could simply be spamming arrows without using this hack. But if a player shoots arrows very fast and they still fly over 5 blocks, he is most likely using this hack.

Blink
When someone seems to be teleporting into a room over a short distance, the player is probably using Blink. The problem is, that Blink makes you lag on purpose, so its often hard to see the difference between simple lag and the hack. But if someone keeps starting to lag and then appears in front of you and kills you (and it happens over and over), he probably uses Blink.
Note: This hack is rarely used on War, its more common on WarZ and lately also on Minestrike.

Forcefield
Works on Mc-War, but it is quite pointless. Its supposed to be used in fights with swords, but shooting someone instead of knifing him is way more efficient. It can be good in Infect, especially when it is a small map and the hacker can get close to survivors easily.


Non existing/useless Hacks

Oneshot Hacks
The damage a gun does is defined by the server, a client side hack can’t change that. So this hack does not exist and it will never exist. Some guns do oneshots, but a hack can't change that.

Shooting through walls
Snowballs can’t fly through walls in Vanilla Minecraft and they also can not do that on Mc-War. If you got killed by someone who was behind a wall, he maybe used C4 which will also give off particles if you have them enabled.

Godmode/Invincibility
There is a hack called Godmode that makes you invincible, but while you are invincible you can’t move, and through a patch of NoCheatPlus the hacking Player still receives damage, just slower than a normal player. So if someone is moving, he can’t be using Godmode. Most of the time players on Mc-War are accused of godmoding because they survived many bullets, but keep in mind that either some of your bullets may not have hit the enemy, they have spawn protection, or they are using the perk Juggernaut.
Note: If players are afk, they often fly in the air and don’t die when you shoot them. This can look like Godmode, but it obviously isn’t.

Gun Aimbot
This is one thing we hear a lot on Mc-War. It’s true that there are hacks that make your crosshair point at the next player, but keep in mind that this would only be useful in FFA, One in the Chamber and also Gungame, because in the other gamemodes you would probably point at your teammates. Now this hack still isn’t very useful: Your shots take some times to reach the enemy and until then he more than likely moved. It is impossible for the hack to predict where the enemy is moving, so this isn’t a problem on Mc-War.

Regeneration
Once again, this hack exists, but it doesn’t work on Mc-War. It was patched by NoCheatPlus a long time ago.

EMP/Nuke Hacks
I still see people accusing others of hacking, only because they launched a EMP or Nuke. It is kind of obvious, but I would just like to make this absolutely clear: There is no way for a player to get a EMP/Nuke on a other way then getting a 15/21-killstreak.

Skillaura
A parody of killaura created by some War Players. It is only a word and obviously it is not bannable. You use it by being skilled and playing War.



I hope this little list helped you, from now on please think twice before you accuse someone of hacking on Mc-War. Feel free to comment any Hacks/Non existing Hacks we missed out.

I recently saw someone using Blink on Minestrike, so I believe you can also use it on War, its just not very common.

I'm not to sure about speed myself, if you got any proof on I will change that.

 

Maybe you know something about Patches in Minecraft or NoCheatPlus I don't know. Of course I don't expect you to test it out

 

Even more sad that there are still players accusing others of using that "Hack".

 

bowAimbot has a simple problem: The player probably moved until the arrow reached him.
And a Hack can't predict where a player is going, so bowAimbot is pretty useless.

 

As said here

all hacks that only work with swords are pretty useless in Mc-War.

 

Uhm... could you tell us how you know that and how BowAimbot is blocked?
