about nerfing the guns

it seems to me that a good 1/6 of forum posts are about buffing or nerfing any given item. I understand that prestige is supposed to be better, and it is better in pretty much every way. (except arguably the shotguns, but that's a different story you can find 1000s of places on the forums) I just saw a post by potatosparkles talking about how the famas is op. I'll just be using it as an example, but there are many many more posts that are very similar. potato was complaining about how the famas's burst can one shot at very long range, and needs to be nerfed. While it does one shot at range, is it as good as the skullcrusher? (In my opinion) No. The skully does more damage and has better noscoping accuracy, and a very good effective range on top. perhaps not as good as the famas, but it's nearly there. The prestige guns are indeed better, but the point of prestige is not to give the 31+ a massive advantage to win. It is just the slightly better models of the normal guns. If the normal guns were nerfed to the point where there was the distinguishable difference that potato was asking for, (potato, if you're reading this i'm sorry to use you as an example) It gives a slight reward for the skill required to reach the high levels. Prestige is a slight reward for your skill and endurance. It is not a game changer. I feel like i'm not explaining this very well, so i'll get straight to the point now. If you are good enough to have prestige, then you should have the skill to deal with the lower level guns. McWar isn't a battle of the bigger gun. The point of prestige is to show that you have greater skill than the people who are 30- and this skill includes the ability to deal with the lower level guns.

Sorry for all the beating around the bush, making a point with words isn't my strong suit. I think it out well in my head but when i write it it doesnt turn out so good

yeah lots of people have been using it lately. i've noticed it also has a very effective noscoping range of maybe 15 blocks, which i find very helpful in ffa
