Am I alone in the belief that MSR is better than ISO?

Nope, you're not alone.
I actually like the MSR more than the Isolator.
The Disassembler in my opinion is just an assault rifle with high damage and very low firerate.
The Dragunov is pretty good, but of course the MSR is better.
The bolt actions would be good, but the Isolator renders them totally useless, and their bullet velocity is so slow anyways.

 

Msr is better on medium range maps if you have scavenger and have enough skill to do headshots. Iso is better for long range sniping because it takes quite a bit of skill to be able to hit someone far away twice with mat before they reheal. But scince iso is osk, 1 hit = 1 kill.

 

They only thing that is good about the isolator is it's damage, if you take that away that then thr MSR would be better.

 

I really like the MSR. Iso is too hard for me .

 

The dissa has a fast fire rate.......

 

I personally believe that the msr is better in terms of skill required. people who always use isolater do not even have to worry about aiming for the head with the msr, following your target while hard scoping and head shotting is pure skill. That's my opinion so in all, msr is better.

Do I perform better w/ Iso? Yup.
Is MSR more fun? Hell yeah.

 

What's fun for me is using iso then the people who hate it and call others "iso noobs" rage. I find it funny too how a couple of times I just join in a server and people yell at me to leave because they hate me so much. The one guy I have no idea why he hated me so much...Some people say "no ISOs this round please" and I'm just like :3 *equips iso*

You don't always have to aim for the head with the msr. You can fast fire 2 bullets and it will kill them. It doesn't take that much more skill.

 

I find the MSR, very good and in my opinion it is better if you have scavenger. Also from what I heard it is similar to the old skull crusher; both had fast firerates and 2 shotted. The main difference between the two is that the skull crusher had a larger clip. What makes the MSR so good is that it has little knockback, while with the knockback update many guns have large knockbacks which players are not used to, while the MSR has little knockback.

I mean, the Iso isn't that easy to use as many people say.
you still have to aim, and most likely move, while hitting a moving target.

 

Dragunov and iso are the best guns atm.

 

Iso is much better for noobies who dunnu accurcy....me and msr i never actually land a bullet :-:

 

If anything the Iso, needs to live up to its name a bit more.

Isolator. Not the Spammy Shooter One Shot Gun Thingy.

The unmatched stopping power of the Iso, should be used in moderation. For players that have been an issue for your team. Ray Gun, Crossbow, or Mini + Armor. Those are the types of targets you should 'Isolate'. Players on a 15+ Killstreak? Those are the ones you should isolate. Use your python for the other ones that would flood through doorways, but the Isolator is more a problem solver than a general weapon.

 

It does well for both jobs though, depending on your skill with it. The Isolator could be that type of weapon, but depending on the nerf to stuff like firerate, it could become a hard to use weapon.

Oh, believe me, you're not alone. I really prefer Msr because it has a fast firing rate and overall it just doesn't seem too over powered. In the end, the Iso and Msr has it's cons and pros.

 

I find myself reloading sooner with the MSR, than the ISO. Which in turn increases my dependency on the secondary.

 

I use sleight of hands with iso rather than scavenger these days for the reload. I've played more levels without any perk on my iso so I can easily conserve just enough ammo to launch a nuke. It makes the reload 2.5 seconds so I barely have time to use my secondary.
