less tolerance of disrespect in the mc-war community

1. I dont eat doritos
2. they dont deservered to be banned
3. Just do what I did and /ignore every disrespectful/rager/h8er I see
Just because they rage and whatnot does not mean we should ban them
Ban them on war would mean you would have to go around to all the servers and ban all people on those servers, which is not very fair.
If they disrespect the staff then a kick and if it continues maybe a temp ban. but dont ban them just because they rage, everyone has raged/does rage once in a while

 

It is a different situation if they are disrespecting the staff which most of the time they dont. If they are disrespecting the staff then report it unless staff member is on. If a staff member is on then they would send a warning via PM, if they continue then a kick, if continued then a temp ban, then a ban if continued.

I also dont remember ever seeing the server rules in the war spawn or anywhere

 

You have to type /rules to see the rules.

 

Thanks did not know this but I will have to say that of the hundreds of people that play war how many have actually typed that? 5? 10? not alot at all.

Although this is slightly different, it would have been perfectly acceptable to bump that thread.

Disrespect happens all the time on the internet. If you were to be warned a few times first, I'd be fine with that. But a ban straightaway is not good.

First off, there already have been dozens of thread how the War community is getting worse and worse, so it is not like we are sitting here and "eating doritos". Banning players permanently for a minor rule break will never happen, but we try our best to warn and punish all the rule breakers.

So here's the deal. I'm gonna be perfectly honest with you here; don't get offended. The internet is not nice. As Oscar Wilde, one of the most brilliant authors of our era, once said, "Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth." He wrote that in the 1800s. Do you know why it still applies? Because it's human nature to be an ass. People want to be heard, and the internet is the best place to do that with no repercussions.

If you think that the way to prevent disrespect is do start permanently denying people access to the server, then you need a revelation my friend. Open your eyes and climb out of your mother's womb already. The internet is not a friendly place, and unless you can come to terms with that, get the hell off it.

Some people consider me an asshole. I don't debate that. But I say what's on everyone's mind, and I say what needs to be said. So you can believe me when I say, you just have to toughen up. There's nothing you can do to prevent "disrespect," as you call it.

Stork you are a good player. Take a deep breath, report them if you need to, or just waste them with snowballs of death.

In the last few weeks I've started to crack down on disrespectful players. If I see someone directly insult another player, I ask them to refrain from doing so. Banning them, however, seems like a bad idea. And... who says I can't eat my doritos and moderate at the same time?

To be honest, I suggested a harsher ban system a long ago.

What if they don't sell Doritos in my country?

 

I also started to warn players if they were calling others noobs or being really disrespectful/impolite towards others, e. g. "stfu". So we are doing something against all the ragers on Mc-War.

 

I do it too...have to lay down the law sometimes, like a boss.

Honestly, learn to deal with it.

 

In all honesty, this is the internet. Some people are just born, by creation, to just cause hell for others. Best thing you can do is to either minimize chat, or simply ignore it. Don't feed into it, don't let it influence you. Just be a stronger person. And get over it.

 

You're 12. Things are gonna get worse. A whole lot worse, trust me. 6th and 7th grade are the nice years, 8th+ is where people go bad.
