Incorrect Poll Percentages

    Hey guys, recently in this thread I noticed something strange about the poll percents. I estimated the total and decided it would have been over 100. I totalled the percents with a calculator and got 158.4
    Unless my calculator is screwed up or I miss calculated, McBrawl has a problem that needs to be fixed.
    If the calculations were correct, the poll percents are wildly off.

    For example, it thinks 3 was 25% of 19

    Hmm. Maybe it has to do with multiple votes being allowed. 23% of people who voted, voted for that map. idunno. Brain not functioning 100%. hue

    Not sure this can be fixed since this has to do with Xenforo software itself, meaning we'll have to wait for a future xen update, or you try to find an addon that fixes this.

    I considered this, yet Im not sure. I don't think the person voting effects the voting percent.

    You're probably right. But, like F1R3 said, we'll just have to wait for this to get fixed.

    The percent on that item out of the total votes??

    It compares the amount of people that voted on that particular item to the amount that didn't vote on that item.
    Each percent is of its own, it doesn't represent the whole poll.

    In the test, there was 1 vote in each section. Therefor 4 votes other then the one is the slot. I'm sorry, I still don't understand.

    I don't know why it displays the wrong percentage, but you should post stuff like this in the Q&A Section @Serine1002.

    Its different for polls that allow allow multiple votes. Below in light grey text, it states "Multiple votes are allowed. Your vote will be publicly visible."

    In the poll, each option is almost like its own mini poll.
    If you do not vote for it, its counted as a no, if you do its a yes.

    It's either a bug report or a question, so if it is a forums bug you should PM a admin, if it is a question it belongs into the Q&A section.

    There's nothing wrong with posting forum bugs in General Discussion (as long as the bug can't be majorly abused). It's just like posting a minor glitch notice in the Mc-War Bug Report section.

    As the title already says, this section is here to discuss things. There is no bug report section for forums bugs because there aren't many, chickenputty said that you should PM him if you discover one. Since it was clarified that isn't a real bug, this should just be locked and in future forums bugs should be PMed to an Admin.

    Why would you need to discuss a bug? It is there and it should be fixed or it isn't a bug, end of story.

    Now can we please end this argument, chickenputty said that Forums Bug Report should go to him in a PM.

    If it wasn't a Dicussion we wouldn't know what it was yet. We use discussion because maybe someone would know what it is and how to fix it. Or if its not a bug at all someone might know.

    Why on earth would someone post a bug report as a question??
