So, I have decided I am building a gaming computer. I am aiming for around a $600 cost, including windows, but not with the monitor, keyboard and mouse. I currently are going for these parts (I live in canada so I get worse prices than americans do, so I couldn't go for some stuff as good)

CPU- AMD FX 6300- 6 cores at 3.6 gHz- $130, It is a default for lower budget computers, and it is a great bang for your buck processor
GPU- AMD radeon r9 270x- $170- One of, if not the, best graphics cards under $200
Motherboard- ASUS M5A78L-M LX plus mATX - $60- This is the one part that a basically know what I want. I want an ASUS motherboard, as they typically are the best you can get for motherboards, and this is one of the cheapest motherboards by ASUS that is compatible with the FX processor I am using
Case- Fractal design core 1000- $40-This is the cheapest micro ATX case I could find that doesn't look horrid
PSU- Corsair cx series cx430 430w-$45- Corsair is a great brand for power supplies, and for 45 bucks, It gives lots of power
Hard drive- Seagate barracuda st500DM002 500gb- $50- This has well enough storage for games
    RAM-CORSAIR Vengeance 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM- $45
    OS- windows 8.1- $100

    So total current price- $640

I may get my parents to get one or two things like the ram or the hard drive. If you guys know anything I can get for cheaper that is as good or better tell me

No you didn't..? Reread your post.

Anyways, nice list frogger, I agree with all of the selections. I know you're on a budget, but 8GB of RAM might help you in the future. I suppose you can always upgrade.

Also, there are cheaper RAMS out there then Corsair. Theirs is quality, but slightly overpriced.

I was going to ask for another stick for christmas or my birthday. Also, I went on newegg and ncix and that was only an extra 5 bucks compared to the other 4gb rams.

    1. I can't afford an i5, and this is nearly as good as one
    2. I may be able to strech my budget and get the r9, or maybe a gtx
    3. I could have got better but it would be really expensive
    4. I can't find it for cheaper than $60
    5. Yeah, corsairs are really good
    6. It was honestly just one of the cheapest parts I could find from a reliable brand XD
    7. Yeah it is
    8. Well, this will be the most supported for the longest
