    Our Experiment:
    So today on McWar after watching a bunch of people call hacks at other people because they died, Jkzoom and I decided to preform a social experiment to showcase the sociological effects of hack calling, how normal it has become to do so.

    What we did:
    Our data collection was quite simple. I pressed tab, and then started calling out every single person for supposedly hacking. The responses were...normal. Everyone of course immediately freaked out, and started denying everything that I said. They then in turn accused me of hacking.

    At the same time, we very subtly said in chat: "I'm using kill aura" and "I'm fly hacking" to see what reactions we would get and not a single person even noticed.

    Conclusion:
    Hackusations are the norm of McWar. If you die, you accuse people of hacks, out of your own rage, not because of any suspected hacking, except for you know you're OP and so anyone who kills you must be hacking right? That's hubris, and that's what people seem to think.

    My conclusion is that everyone needs to sit back and think for a moment. Unless you die 60 times to the same person in 20 seconds, they nuke before the game starts, and the universe blows up, chances are they aren't hacking.

    So take my advice: Go get a bagel, or a cookie, or some toast, and sit back, and enjoy the game. Don't waste your precious energy raging.

    Personally, I love when hackusations are thrown at me because I take it as a hobby. I keep a bunch of cropped screenshots and merge them into one picture. Basically, I look at the bright side by turning the negative into something positive for me.

    You must be very busy then with all the accusations thrown around. I'm waiting for the day someone accuses a mod of hacking. I'll *face smack* *screams OH MY GOD* *sighs* people these days.

    it was amazing. We had half of server two freaking out. while that might seem like a terrible thing, it proved that most of this community is fine with dishing it out, they just can't take it
    Its very interesting what the reaction is from just being called out for something you know you didn't do

    Too lazy to get screenshots, but I get accused of hacking on Minestrike daily. The staff is aware of the fact that hack accusations often start flame wars, thats the reason why they are prohibited and you can get punished for it.

    Yeah well hacks is like the sacrilege word for mc-War, anyway you're trying that in immature children so it's normal that you get this kind of reaction coming from them

    I think people simply need to chill. It's just a game for goodness sake. I mean, really, I you are going to rage, then do us all a favor and rage silently. Don't type it in the chat. You literally have to press T, type something distasteful up, and click enter. What a waste of time.

    I don't get it, it is such a waste of time.
    Apparently everyone has to know your troubled feelings because you're on top of the world....
    Moderators frequently receive hackusations.
    Someone accused me of hacking for fly hacks (double jump in creative) back when I was a staff member, someone accused Signatured of hacks for using the LAW in infected, and someone accused chickenputty of hacks because he flew.

    I just got this stituation on party today... it culd hapen at war too: i win a game and then 1 ppl call me hacker... then 3 others agrees and spamms it for like 10 minutes._.
    Also its mostlikley almost a good guy who say he dont hack!

    I ignore the hackusations, but if someone persists and begins to spam the chat, I just ask what hacks I am alleged to be using. Best response I ever got was, "All of them u b****" (and this was before the chat filter was improved).

    But overall, I just think that whatever I did could only be explained with the use of hacks.
