Censor the word Ez and skid

The word "eZ" was censored, but we removed it. I'd be interested to see what people think of this idea.

eZ is most of the time used as a joke .

as for skid.. it isn't really that big of a deal, given the fact that it isn't inappropriate or anything that bad.

When ever I play mc-war and I get a sick trickshot I always say ezzzzzz. But I don't really care about skid.

 

Is it really that much of a problem if these get censored?

eZ is a clan right? So we shouldn't Censor it.

 

I don't mind skid as much as I dislike eZ. I must admit, it gets a little old when people spam eZ every time they kill you. I would prefer if both of these were censored. Yes, sometimes eZ is used as a joke, but the truth is, most of the time, it isn't, and I personally find both eZ and skid can be quite annoying at times. But that's just me and my opinion.

There used to be clans named after profanities. That didn't stop them from censoring them then, and I don't think that it will be much of an issue now.

 

Skid means stupid kid, which is a insult. I don't see many people using it, so we don't necessarily need to censor it, but Moderators should warn for it if they see it.
Now lets talk about "ez". Personally I would love to see it censored, mainly because it starts as many flame wars as hack accusations. I constantly see players call eachother "ez" after a fight on PvP Survival and this often leads to major arguments in chat.

 

Ugh, there is this too. Good point Roke. PvP as well as WarZ. Ez makes WarZ even worse. Ever noticed how at the end of any fight in a WarZ video someone says eZ and the killed people call hacks? .-.

 

If people want to joke with their friends, they can type eZ in a PM, not in public chat.

Skid means someone that uses other people's scripts for hacking not "stupid kid" v:
But for eZ, most people use it as a joke. The people who actually mean it are the people that nobody likes and if it was censored would just find another insult.

If most players use ez as a joke, why do so many players get mad at others for calling them ez?

 

Because even if you only say it as a joke, unless you specificly tell them it was a joke, they might take it seriously. Getting called eZ prectically means that you are easy to kill and bad at the game. Some people get annoyed at that person and try to say something disrespectful back at them. Once thats happend, the outcome is a flamewar 80% of the time.

 

You bring up a good point, Roke. Seeing how this happens a lot in chat, I've experienced what it's like.

They get mad at people when they use 'ez' after either said person that lost in a battle against said enemy, most of the time this occurs. They do learn to hate that person and or get annoyed by him or she. I will never completely understand why they use 'ez' as a joke and yet hate it to the brim.

 

Given that both are used as either dead jokes by people who lack original humor, or immature taunts by those who lack skill themselves, I'm in favor of their removal.
