Kit upgrades

    My idea is to be able to upgrade your kits, not guns! Guns are something different and changing them would defeat the point of searching for guns.
    So, my idea now :3 You can upgrade your kit so you start out with more ammo! Examples:
    Kit: Soldier
    Upgrade 2 or Tier 2 will provide 16 extra rounds for the cost of 250 credits (This can be changed). Snipers wouldn't get 16 rounds but around 1-5 shots and pistols will probably get a little bit more than 16 rounds.

    Any feedback is really helpful :wink:

    Maybe limited potion effects, armor upgrades and maybe even something taken away for something else better.
    Reload speed for all sniper rifles reduced by 1/3 of total time.
    -25% damage of all the sniper rifles.
    It's a system from TF2.
    I think the balancing should be taken into account.

    Hmmm... But what if the people don't think the upgrades are worth it? Because I wouldn't do that upgrade myself just because damage is what makes a sniper a sniper.

    I would like if better armor and more food were added to kits when upgraded. I also think that these upgrades should be very, very expensive so that they would not be considered too OP.

    I threw that out. The upgrades should require something, like wins and kills with that certain kit/gun/piece of equipment in order to be upgraded. Perhaps, the upgrade would be fairly balanced to give a small advantage over other players.

    1-5 shots for snipers is just seriously underpowered. I actually want scout to start with 22 ammo instead of 16. 1-5 shots would make scout even more useless than default. Remember that m40A3 is 2-3 shot kill. That is making it pretty impossible to get more than 2-3 kills.

    Maybe multiple upgrades? Like one upgrade would decrease damage but increase ammo? And another one would decrease speed but increase health? And you would only be able to choose one. And I like the idea of a requirement for kits.
    There would still be more ammo upgrades after that. Remember that this was just an example.

    I know, but I wouldn't start lower than 8 either way.

    This idea is just a tad bit more complicated that being able to throw down some cash and buy extra food and ammo. Which was suggested before.

    This seems to be a good idea, I would love to see more customization options on fpsHG.
