Toggling Blood

    So, we have these "blood"particles that are red stone coming out of you when you're shot.
    Since I remember when I was like 10 and started playing War, I wasn't allowed to play nearly any violent games and that nature of stuff.
    I noticed there was blood coming out of the players and literally thought "oh my gosh my mom is going to get mad at me for playing violent games!!!!!"
    Although I never got caught, mainly because I did /spawn whenever she was there, it still took me a little to realize that just because a game has blood doesn't mean it's the most violent thing in the world.
    My idea is for the younger players like me a few years ago that can't play any violent games at all with graphic content or whatever.
    There should be a /war blood command to turn off blood if you don't want it.
    Who knows, maybe this could help more players to stay?

    or the parents can just be stupid like mine :grinning:

    (as in they never noticed that it was blood lawllll)

    I don't think you can code this: When blood particles are created by the server, everyone will see them, the server probably can't make a few player not see it.
    You might be able to get rid of the blood particles through setting Particles to Minimal in Minecraft settings, so we should just add a message saying "Change your particles to Minimal to get rid of the blood texture!".

    Actually, it's completely possible. You just send packets tonplayers with particles on, and don't send them to everyone else.

    Blood particles are block breaking particles, so that wouldn't work. Phanta's idea seems like a viable idea.
    I think this will be used to prevent lag though v:

    Not sure if this would be possible but this blood effect are particles and would cause a lot of lag so maybe not unless your computer can support it.

    What he's asking is whether they should be able to be disabled or naw, which IMO is a good idea

    Well you can disable them as I said... Just turn off the particle effects...

    You can't disable them; block breaking particles cannot be removed no matter how low your graphic settings are.
    Which is why this was suggested

    Then +1 I barely see the particles to be fair, it's like part of the map when playing I just don't notice them.
