I know finding the best Warfare moderators can be difficult, but we might need some more, and soon.

I know you can get rid of war chat with "/war chat" and it turns it off, but then you can't Private Message all your friends on other servers or receive them yourself, or listen to things mods on are saying.

Basically, the chat in War is really trash. We need more muting going on for Censor-Dodging, and there is some seriously annoying hackusations and all. It might take a while, but maybe eventually people will learn to stop trashing chat.

Also, what if the "*" were changed to something else, like actual words to make war look less trashy when people do use censored words.

EDIT: I do appreciate what the mods we have do on the servers. I have watched personally as people were muted by a mod in Server 1. I'm just saying that we should have more of them because 12 servers is a lot for just a few people.

I think war might be too far gone.
It'll take some extreme changes to actually change the community.

How about stricter rules for the chat?

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but /war chat only stops showing public player messages, so you can still see your kill feed and pm people and stuff.

It is not easy to stop trash talk.
It's like asking for world peace; not gonna happen.
War's community is **** and total trash, we all know that. And it's nearly impossible to break these habits, with the way the server is set up. It's basically asking for ragers.
Bypassing the censor is something that definitely should be punished for. Also, I'm really quite sick of the repeated hackusations from the tryhards who are too immature to handle dying with their little op guns. There isn't an easy way to stop the hackusations though; they happen in every game.
    Also....
    ^^^^^

Also, replacing *'s with a different word looks unprofessional and it makes it seem like the server owners are immature 10 year olds. It's censored anyways, why even add childish replacement words in?

I think more moderation wouldn't help anyone
Ever heard of quality over quantity? I think all our mods currently need to do is some regular server sweeps. Going from server to server instead of sitting on the same one (which is something I see to often, I know I'm sorry mods, I'm not trying to be rude here)
I seriously appreciate the work they do, I think that it's extremely disrespectful of these people to speak poorly of them when their doing all they can. It's only okay to do something like that in a case of the mod obviously not caring about his community, and I think the war mods care more then many.

There is a good amount of mods, but I don't think mods go on server 1 enough.

Why does everyone think more Moderators, more punishment, more censoring is the solution?

Its the community that makes the servers and everyone here on the forums is a part of this community, so everyone - not only mods - should try to be a role model for other players and act mature. We can have 1000 Mods and nothing will change if the community as a whole doesn't understand that it is good for them if they follow the rules.

I agree. The community might not be able to change, but we need better rules for chat. I like making so-called "friends." people that I talk to in the chat.

Oh yeah. You can, but what if you want to just all around ask if anyone wants into the clan, or see other people ask into your clan. :frowning: Or just talk to everyone in general without seeing trash. :stuck_out_tongue:

Exactly. Hackusations are going to happen, but maybe we can narrow it down a bit?

I agree that the *'s being replaced might look childish, but will make war look less trashy, you know what I mean? Instead of haveing
"**** THE ****** STUPID *******" all over the chat, it will actually be words.

But the problem is, War is too far gone at this point.
The system War relies on is a crap system. It's even worse than CoD's system.
Although CoD has the ragers and really annoying people, at least around half the community are still more mature people.
In MC-War, about 90% of the community rages. It's elitism, and MC-War's system only increased this elitism.

You can do /block, but it takes up space in your friends list.

This is nothing compared to WarZ.
War and WarZ are too far gone. Really, the only way we can stop it is to mute anybody who insults anybody without warning. Because what we've been doing isn't solving anything, and I doubt that admins will let the mods mute anybody without warning.

So yeah, there's honestly nothing you can do but to ./block other players that are insulting you or others, or just do ./war chat.

How about I invade the world ?
I agree but hey, there's one good thing about this: we don't have any ddosers coming over from WarZ to War.

I don't think that the solution is more mods, but stricter punishments. More mods would help though.

I believe the amount of mods is up to the staff. But the community has seen a shortage in mods for popular servers like war and WarZ. I honestly think that the amount of work a mod does should be noted for and considered for complete global mod positions.

Exactly. We do need stricter punishments for doing trashy things, and more mods would help carry that out.

lol. You'd need to be a common player to do dat.

    Simple solution:
    - Message doesn't get shown if it has a word from the blacklist.
    - User is warned that he shouldn't use theses words.
    - Trying to surpass the chat-filter gets bannable.

You'd have to make an application even better than your application for admin to do that.
