Bug Annoying chat

Don't use too many numbers, it's apparently advertising according to the filter. It's kinda buggy (okay, pretty buggy), just wait it out until it's fixed.

 

Well, URL's and IP's can be advertising. I think it does a good cause. That cause meaning not millions of people on McBrawl getting banned.

Look at the statistics at the bottom. Over 1.7 million accounts have been logged into Brawl since the hub was first released. That's not even counting the amount of players since the network's very beginnings.

 

I'm not sure what can be done to fix this. We would first have to find out what it doesn't like. I know for a fact that the filter hates commas.

 

I know I say #-# for deaths and kills then #-# for wins and losses. It looks like this

With this, there are the pros and cons. Honestly yeah it helps, but then you get the people who just outsmart the filers.... It ruins it for the others, who are simply trying to tell cords, exc. ( As shown above, he is just stating numbers.) Either way, this filter is good, but also bad.

How about we let the community take care of it. Turn off the filter for a little bit and see how many advertisers were banned and not banned. Just as a test, so if it doesn't work then we can turn the filter back on.

 

Good idea but then when you get the major flame wars, people will curse. or then you get the people who will spam chat with there servers they play on. If they have the ability to they will. This aslo provents bad influences, not only 15 year olds + play this game. I have a little sister and shes only 8... i don't think my family would be too happy if she came running through the doors yelling a curse word she found on a "friendly" game. Other servers, may not be the most "Welcoming" either...

 

I never said turn of the filter for swearing, just for advertising.

I HATE THIS BUG/PLUGIN SO MUCH! Sry for caps but its true, i hate it. Every time i type like: 42-3+12ks+12ks+10ks, dangit *IGN* why u gotta be so rude (;

 

It's a little noisy because when you want to say your requirements for a clan:
lvl 60+, KDR 2.00 and 35K Kills, you can't.
