New anti hack

You have no proof of anyone hacking, for all you know it is people who had to reload.

 

We have NoCheat, one of the best Bukkit plugins to protect against hackers. Unfortunately it cannot catch everything, especially things such as kill aura and aimbot, since they are client side instead of server side.

 

At least you don't see people flying around with fastbow.

 

But you always need to provide proof.

 

A moderator's job is to find hackers on the McBrawl servers, yes. However, the only thing we can do is get video proof of the player(s) using a hacked client, kick them for an hour and report it to report.mcbrawl.com. We cannot fully ban them, that report goes to @Giggadream or an Admin.
If you do find a hacker, as jacob stated, video the hacker and report it here: report.mcbrawl.com keep in mind we need video proof. Screenshots won't cut it.

 

The staff and others do their best to catch hackers.And you also have the ability to report them and maybe getting them banned,before you just complain about "Alot of hackers arent getting banned" go help us get those hackers please.my opinion

 

Does that mean my screenshots of hacking people flying around aren't going to get banned or punished???

 

On the old server I was moderator on when we suspected someone was hacking we would ask for them to go to this website screenleap.com share there screen and send us the link. From there we would ask them to show us there minecraft folder and thats how we would check for hacks. If they denied or logged they would be banned. Maybe you guys could use this to check possible hackers. Its quite obvious to notice hacks.

 

The only way you can delete files in your MC folder is to close your game and manually go there. If the player left the game, it would be very suspicious to the staff and they would probably go ahead and assume that the player was hacking.

That sounds like a nice idea, but I don't think staff members on Brawl have the time to do this with every hacker they run into. If they have enough proof and have the ability to tempban, why not just do it on the spot instead of doing this?

 

Remember that it's not 100% the Moderators job to catch and report hackers. There's only so many of them. It's up to the community to record and report hackers, helping the staff get their jobs done. Without community support, not nearly as many hackers would be banned today.

 

Back then when I used to hack (before my second ban), I went on this practice server, it detected traces of hacks before I even pressed W, we need something like that.

 

As Signatured said there is no cheat plus which is very good and boy I tell you when the plugin was removed accidently you would see people fly everywhere and by the way: KillAura doesn't affect the guns.

 

It still pisses you off :I when you feel like noob looting and someone starts to look down and hit you.

 

That's quite rare on mc-war and very hard to detect but do you remember the plugin you saw on the server you talked about ?

 

I wish I remembered, I'll ask tyghutfer or something like that name, but he made it and he has that plugin.
