Compass Revamp?

    I think it would be very helpful if you could choose what person you're tracking during the game. It has happened to me several times were I meet up with a friend or just another person that wants to team up but isn't on my team. We cant go hunting for others since our compasses point towards each other. Also if you know a player is good or has good gear, you might want to kill him off fast before he gets geared up.

    What I imagine it would look like:
    - Interface when clicking on the compass
    *shows all the normal presets we have now
    *shows an advanced tracking option, when clicked on allows you to choose who you're targeting
    *shows next to players name how far away they are
    *ranks them from closest to farthest

    We can also keep the same option to track the closest player if you're not in any of these situations

    This is an interesting idea, but it sounds somewhat complicated. I wouldn't mind if this was implemented, but I wouldn't care if it wasn't either. I'm perfectly fine with how the compass works as it is.

    Hmmm, this seems like a pretty cool idea. It's pretty simple to add in too, it's like the server selection compass on the hub.

    Choosing who to track is extremely unfair and OP. Many high ranked players/mods have difficulties with being targeted constantly. Maybe a option for random player would be better. Next how far away is OP. You know exactly where people are. Honestly I think the compass is fine how it is.

    That's a good point. People will target mods like you if this were implemented. :V

    That's part of it though. The mods have good classes and are usually not too bad at the game. If everyone did it, it would make lots of players to come to the same spot and battle each other over who would kill the certain person.

    I don't think that this would be fair still. Besides, those classes will be available to everyone soon.

    A: I don't use donor classes anymore. I have same kits, I have no advantage.
    B: This isn't one bit fair for high up players.
    C: Story-time! Targetting for mods is already bad. Once me and random were in a 2v2. I died, why. The 2 players targetted me, random went infront and even killed one, people ignore others just for the mod kill. That's what fpsHG is now. A similar story even happened with 7 people among 2 teams only after me.
    Too summarize targetting is already bad, why make it worst.

    I misread this.....
    The problem could be fixed by being able to point to specific players on your team only. Beyond that is OP. :|

    I dunno. I like the randomness that the current compass offers when you are tracking players. No changes seem necessary in my eyes.

    If Fpshg, if this was added. I'm fairly certain WarZ players would want the same addition.
