    You'll quickly learn that videos that aren't just montages are extremely boring without commentary.

    Especially a Pokémon game. This is probably one of the worst kind of games to start making videos on, due to the fact that you will either have to just show battle after battle with no commentary, or just edit out unnecessary parts. The grind in Pokémon games are some of the most boring to watch, and I can honestly say I would never watch this without any kind of commentary.

    yeah i remember watching this one guy pikachu something? (he had lots of subs i think 100k but i cant find him anymore) he played heart gold it was fun to watch becaue he talked maybe jacob is shy? but good video

    HeartGold? Tried the real Pokemon Gold Version instead of the remake? If you want, here is a list of Pokemon games I made:

    Yeah, commentary is a thing I am thinking of doing. Maybe in part three or four, as the second part is already half "filmed". Also, I have no plans of showing my grinding, if I will ever need it.
    Remember that this is my first ever video on YouTube, so feedback is really welcome.

    Shy? Oh really, I did not know that sitting in a corner in the free minutes of school reading a book was being shy and non-social.

    By "grind" I am referring to the constant trainer battles that will be shown that have no real significance.

    And that accounts for most of the gameplay and video footage.

    You are saying something there. Trainer battles won't be fun to show.. but just cutting all those battles out feel wrong. Is cutting everything out except gym/rival/important battles (E4, Dialga, Team Galactic bosses, etc.) an idea?

    i would keep all those "important" battles and interesting regular battles such as using 1 pokemon to destroy a whole trainer or something like that i remember a guy once saying include in ur vids what YOU WOULD WATCH make a vid something u urself would watch

    Yeah. Something like that. I won't be cutting trainer battles in part two as I already included a few (I think, if not, I'll cut them from now on)
    And @Majora_Jora, any feedback on the thumbnail?

    My one tip is: If you're gonna do a lets play of a game, make it an older game, which will trigger nostalgia and, in my opinion, a better game. Do Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, etc. is what I would say.

    If you want to get popular, then do Pokemon Ranger, that's MUCH more exciting.

    I can't find a working Game Boy emulator of any sort.
    I tried to do Pokemon Blue Version, but the Visual Boy Advance emulator crashed all the time.
    On the other hand, people of my generation get nostalgia of Pokemon Diamond :L

    It's too... I dunno, squishy. It's not as epic as something like Ruby. Take for example, Bidoof. He's cute and all, but he's hard to take seriously. It just doesn't have the intensity that something like Ruby has. The epic ness of seeing Groudon and battling him can't be compared to anything in Diamond. That's at least my opinion.

    Well, as I said, I can't find a working Game Boy emulator. And after Diamond I'm going to do Explorers of Sky.

    Might as well cancel this as there is waaay to many Diamond let's plays.
