What's your game play Style?

Hi Masters of Minecraft,


I thought it would be fun to make a poll to understand the different types of players utilizing a piece that @CaptainBrawler composed just a few months ago. I would like to thank him for his piece. While I initially enjoyed it, I thought it could use some modifications to enhance or clarify the different types of players.


From what I have seen, there are many variations, and also many different types of players. Depending on the game, map and how Brawlers like to play can change how they perceive themselves from game to game. That said, as players play longer they will change how they play the game as they evolve their game play. Brawlers are allowed to select up to 3 selections.

· The Nub - A player that runs around with their Knife and get really upset that they are not getting any kills.


· Rushers (Assault rifles, shotguns, or pistols) – rushers utilizing a "Blitz" or rush method can retake positions, gain footholds and pin another enemy down. Rushing is a battle tactic similar to the blitzkrieging or the human wave tactic, in which they rely on speed and surprise to overwhelm and/or cripple an enemy's ability to wage war and get into position. When you see a spawn killing you know that the other side had good rushers who were able to overwhelm the other team.

· Snipers – Snipers can typically hold long range areas by supporting Rushers and Utility Player. They often employ Turtling ( strong defensive positions combined with long range firepower using headshots and long ranges to advance a team or turtle to hold of rushers and wait for other team rushers to come back. Most good snipers will move back and forth between spots while retaining the long range kill shots. MSR snipers will typically go with Rushers or advance quickly to gain the strategic advantage.

· The Camper – Utilize a variety of guns but mostly Sniper or Assault rifles and rarely move around. A small team of campers can hold a small space and create crossfire scenarios to take out anyone that comes into their “kill box.”

· Utility Player – In sports, a utility player is one who can play several positions competently, a sort of Jack of All Trades. Traditionally, utility players utilize a variety of weapons based on the map, role they want to play, objectives, and what they want to accomplish. These players are often seen sniping in one game, rushing in another, capturing the flag or covering for other flag runners. These types of players are wild cards as they are both unpredictable and typically savvy veterans who enjoy playing the game. People that play for fun, are not out to be the best, but just play fair and fun. These people are most members of the McBrawl Community (Forums: Mostly well-known) and tend to be friends to all. You know who they are because as soon as they join a game…..everyone says hi or sup.

· Flamethrower - The guy running around with the flamethrower or an explosion gun every game. (This is mostly 30+'s).

· Demolisher - A guy that goes berserk with a LAW, CBOW or Ray Gun on every map.

· Ragers/Boasters – These are typically experienced players who call Hacks, rage at other players, or go to the other extreme and brag so much it ruins the game play for others. Boasters - Those guys who scream 33-1 GG 2 EZ! after a game of capture the flag

· The Chatterbox –Typically, these are guys who just talk or chatter during the game or between rounds.

· Professional Elite - People that play to have fun, never rage, and are real good. You know who they are because as soon as they join a game things become lopsided.
