Ways the new map could inprove...

    Ok, Lets face it. The new map has its advantages and bad parts. I hope to explain how it could be changed. This is not a server idea but just my opinion. Th community will not be added because, Well, Yeah...

    1. Chest density: One reason I hate the new map is the chest density. In the nether in the old map in a 10x5 area there could are more chests than an entire building in most cases. Most buildings in the new map just don't have lot's of chests so that means much less loot. This mainly applies to the zone 6 areas.

    2. one placement: One flaw with the new map is how the zones are placed. In the old map the towns that you can see from the spot you spawn at or that are near spawn are all zone 2 or 3. In the new map most of the spawn towns are zone 3 to even 6! This means that full irons or even full diamonds camp the spawn towns making it impossible to get a good amount of loot before a full iron with full tier 4 come's and kills you.

    3. Size: The thing with the old map is that there was alot of space between towns. In the old map when about 40-60 people were on some towns were empty but now with that many people on the tiny new map you compass will be in constant tracking enemy mode. Also if you go into a spawn town you are going to see tons of people just murdering each other and with a full iron just killing everyone that is surviving.

    Step 2.... There is no Step 2.

    Step 1 - get money
    Step 2 - repeat Step 1

    In all seriousness, many WarZ players don't notice any issues because they can teleport and have all of those good features. In all honesty, I'd like to have it more balanced, but instead of chest placement, the zones and nerfed MVP/buffed non donator abilities.

    The 2 WarZ Maps have almost the exactly same size.

    I agree that the map size, zone placement and chest placement could improve.
    I'll tell you that Andy created the WarZ map without really looking at the current WarZ map first, so it was out of proportion.

    I wasn't a creative manager at the time, and I joined the creation of the new WarZ map relatively late, so I don't know exact details of the beginning, but I think there was just a general lack of organization with all of it. Andy's activity started to drop due to life stuff, so progress on the map slowed.

    @Mr_OwEsOmEnEsS took leadership of the map eventually, but it was hard because we were pressed for time, as the map release was nearing and we only had a handful of weeks to finish it. I remember every weekend was a rush to complete one town or another(If we make a new WarZ map, we should definitely start early).
    On the last weekend of map creation, a bunch of the staff made a sweep of the map and hastily placed chests. I'm sure if we had taken more time the chest placement wouldn't be as 'random' and sporadic as it is now. I wasn't present for zone or chest placement, but I remember it happening in a very small amount of time, essentially the night before release. Overall, I think a general lack of organization decreased some of the qualities in the map, so did time constraints. That's why I think if a new map was to be made, there should definitely be a lot of player discussion on what people want, and we should take our time with all of it, initial discussion and map building.

    Maybe then it would be a good idea to start building the next map in a month or two...?

    And you definitely need the head of project to know WarZ, to know the game itself, not just the map.

    Maybe. I'd like it if the players discussed ideas for a new map before we start building. We want to build a map that you guys want to play. If we were to make a new map, I would like to see maybe some player made map ideas, with zones, towns, and themes in as much detail as possible.

    It would be cool to have different playable maps to choose from.

    There are two :I its just that if there were many maps, most people in warz wouldn't be able to comprehend it :I they have to dumb it down for some people.

    Subconsciously thats the reason the first ever map was removed, deep inside they knew about some players.

    Well here are some of my thoughts:

    • Less towns than New Map, about the same as Old Map.
    • Less useless spawn points. Some spawn points on both maps are completely awful for getting anywhere good. I'd like it if most/all spawn points were at least OK for getting to a Zone 6 town.
    • One thing that the New Map has that should be in the New New map (I'm running out of names) is the amount of water. Old Map is just one big island, I like how New Map has several islands, the next map should have this.
    • Certain towns have a higher chance to spawn certain things.
    • Two Zone 6 towns, not like the New Map where there are four. There's a reason you get massive 50-player battles at Nether or Snow on the Old Map and not the New Map. Players are too spread out. I think three Zone 5 towns and two Zone 6 towns would be best.

    Just a tip, call it first, second, third and fourth map. makes life easier, I started doing that when we were about to add the third map.

    But I like your ideas, maybe there should be 3 zone 6 towns though, or 2 veeery large zone 6 towns. For example the Wither Village and the GreenPeas army camp are really small and zone 6.
