I really like the idea. It's kinda like an achievement.

 

Number 1: to get this medal, you have to be top of one of the leaderboards. Both in-game stats leaderboads, and forums leaderboards would count. Examples 1: You have the most positive ratings on the forums. You get a golden "1" medal icon with description: "Most positive ratings"
Example 2: You have the most posts on the forums. You get a golden "1" icon with description: "Most forums posts"
Example 3: You have the most mc-war kills. You get a golden "1" icon with description: Most mc-war kills"
Example 4: You have the highest fpsHg kdr. You get a golden "1" icon with description: Highest fpsHG kdr".
The icon and description can ofcourse be changed as I just quickly made up descriptions and the icon.

 

How about:
Medal Type - Veteran: Be on the forums for a year or more to achieve this medal!
Medal Type - Liked a lot: Be on the top for positive ratings!
Medal Type - Dedicated: Have a thousand messages on the forums!
Medal Type - Winner: Be on the top for trophy points!

 

Exept for the veteran medal, I suggested pretty much the same thing.

 

I think medals are basically the same things as achievements. They should be server-wise not forum-wise.

Maybe, but I think that some of these medals could be an achivement. Reaching posts getting likes is something already taken by achievements. Medals should be something that you are honored for, it is suppose to be UNIQUE. Also doing a GOOD THING for the community. I don't see how getting posts is a good thing for McBrawl. Medals are to honor people certainly veterans.

 

Trophy points don't appear beside your name. Also, what you do on the forums may be far more relevant for McBrawl than in-game achivements. I mean, what helps McBrawl the most? Getting level 100 on mc-war, or posting a suggestion to the servers? The answer is a no-brainer. Another thing is that getting something on the servers, for example level 100 on war, isn't unique at all because almost every single 100+ got there by using at least 1 donation item. Getting 3500+ positive on the other hand, is really uniqe because there are only 1-2 person(s) with this ammount.

 

I agree, but the idea is basically recreating the trophies into medals and posting them next to your name, am I right?

Will there be a person designated to give out these medals? You could make a forum like ban appeals or make a Google doc; so then you could request the medal that you qualify for. The person could then assign the medals accordingly.
That would be a fun job, hint hint

 

I think this would be a hassle. A person COULD do it but it would be hard. Also what if someone is lying. They would have to investigate, I guess this could be a job not sure though.

 

Investigating wouldn't be that hard, just look around the forums.
It'd still be fun!

 

Just saying people wouldn't get medals everyday, the admins can just give it out as they qualify. Maybe at the start it would be more difficult but they'll handle.

 

I think medals should be something rare, not an everyday kind of thing.
