Moderation applications where they are just a simple 1 word answer, get very annoying because mods and some of us have an OCD to read them. They are a small waste of time, and I bet mods don't appreciate wasting thier time looking at blanck applications. I think applications NEED to have a word minimum, like 120.
    Edit by @jaydenchadd - 700 words minimum

I dissagree because if u can't have more than like 120 words, people won't be abel to show their knowlege in only like 120 words.

Not wanting to read it all is called being lazy, and the staff aren't lazy.

It is not a limit, it is a minimum. You can write forever if you want.

I honestly think this is a great idea You should have at least 120 characters if not more seeing as staff applications need to be very well detailed and good length. No sense in wasting anyones time with a pointless application.

There are currently 25 questions and 291 words in the blank application. @XxIronRavenxX and I believe there should be at least 700 words in the whole application (including the app questions) before you can post it.

120 words? That's just the questions alone... Moderators need to be detailed and know what to Wright. A good minimum would be 1000 words. For this it shows they are putting time, detail and effort into their job.

Would it not just be easier to cap who can actually post in staff applications? I mean, a member with 200+ forum posts (for example) is much less likely to write a one-word answer application, as they're obviously reasonably familar with the community and will know that'll get them nowhere.

If there is a cap on the number of words there must be in the application, you may find people throw unnecesary, extra words in to reach the cap which will just clutter applications and possibly even make them worse.

You need to be active on the Severs, Forums & Teamspeak (ts.mcbrawl.com) to be in with a chance of achieving the rank of moderator.

I thought that we determined that forum activity could not be based on post count, and forcing people to get a certain amount of posts would lead players to spam?

It's not just forum activity, it's familarity with the forums. By the point of reaching 200 or so posts, the member will obviously be reasonably familar with the forums and will more than likely understand that an undetailed application will get them nowhere.

I would say 700 is just perfect, 120 is to small.

Just remembering that the staff will take a while to accomplish it because its all coding and stuff and with all the other server ideas it would be difficult for them to do it, the staff are busy, and we need to understand that aswel, so maybe we should only post threads about things we NEED, not things we want all the time, coz it would be hard for the staff.

it's not that hard to code this tbh. I could do 90% of it.

What i'm trying to say is it could be too hard for the staff to do all this coding and have to also manage the server.
