All you need to know about Mc-War 2.0

Hello, everyone! Today, I'll try to pull all of the collected information together, and see, how much we know.

• orange451 began developing 2.0 in 2013, possibly durin the summer.
• There was a test/beta server at one point, on which you could try out new game modes and features.
• 2 ideas of mine were supposed to be implemented as well - zoom changes and a reduced amount of players.
• The development was stopped due to a SQL bug, which caused extreme lag at the end of each round. Confirmed by chickenputty, our administrator.
• After this and a couple of other events that led it, the development was discontinued.
• During 2014, killer_99 took over the development.
• It's possible that he encountered problems, and so, he stopped working on it.
• In the summer, 2014, Myortvye took over the development, and started working from (possibly) scratch.
• At the moment, the weapons have been under the development by not only Myortvye, but moderators, as well.
• Staff members are going to have a closed beta testing, confirmed by @XxIronRavenxX.
• The 2.0 will feature LMGs, possibly few from FpsHG.
• Our update is built from complete scratch and it actually is a new plugin.
• The plugin's name is unknown to me, but it is also used on the new Kitbrawl 2.0/3.0 with guns.
• Although it is rumored, it's strongly possible that 2.0 will have 3 new game modes - Domination, Kill confirmed and Golden Gun. I myself have played all 3 of them, and they were very challenging in the orange's version.
• 2.0 will most likely feature weapon changes and new weapons.
• It's strongly possible that this update will introduce new Lethals and Tacticals as well.
• There is a wide possibility of having multiple changes to the perk mechanics and class system.
• It is possible that someone has made a new spawn for 2.0, though I believe it could be the old one.
• 2.0 is expected to release in 2015, once Myortvye is done with developing other servers such as Kitbrawl and McMoba.

This thread will be updated as the time goes on. This information mostly consists of rumors and stuff we are not sure will be in the final build of the update. I won't add anything unless a staff member confirms it.

 

I meant it like Raven and Robbie mentioned that they helped Myort out with weapons. They didn't say how they helped out, but it has to deal with weapons in some way.

 

I bet some of the gun stats and additions will stay the same. Textures may remain.
