    Rather than making compass useless, I suggest spawning compasses like this:
    Tier I compass: Towns
    Tier II compass: Friends
    Tier III compass: Enemies

    They would spawn in the corresponding zone, removing the versatility that they had.
    Solves problems.
    I think they could spawn in the same areas as their tier sniper rifles :V

    Old compasses would remain as they are, and become Tier IV compasses.

    Eh I don’t really like the idea, I don’t see much of a need for Tier compasses. That is only my opinion though some people might really like it.

    I like the idea, or some item which makes nearby users with compasses not detect you (Like an EMP bomb)

    I like the idea of tiers however, I believe the Tier II compass would be useless, since, if you have friends on a server you can just ask them their coordinates or teleport to them.

    What if they're constantly on the move, and not everyone is a donor?

    If this were changed, however, do you think that the range of the compass should be increased as well?

    Sure, it could be at 150% of the original compass. This could really increase their usefulness.

    I agree, also, maybe the tier II compass could get a little more range increase since it isn't as useful as the other two tiers.

    Actually I very much like this Idea! Here are some things I would like to say!
    1: Make it that you spawn defaultly with a tier 1 compass that will only locate towns. Handy for new players trying to find supplies and such!

    2: The Tier 2 compass I think should spawn in tier 3 zones and above. I see this as not so over powered compared to tier 3 compasses.

    3: The Tier 3 will spawn at tier 5 and above seeing how this one is one of the most useful compasses to be found.

    4: As for the Tier 4 compass which has all of the abilities and I think should have a increased range to it should only be found in tier 6 zones and be quite rare to find. As rare as diamond gear or rarer.

    5: Going with @JizzyJew s idea here. Have an item that spawns in.... Lets say tier 4 and above that when its in your hotbar or being held it reduces detected range of enemy compasses by 50%. Thus allowing you to move in into areas such as 6-10 snow without the enemy camping the gate or if you just want to be a stealthy man.
    What do you guys think? @Credo007lv @Mario as I see that you are both very interested in this.

    Thank you for your support, I am actually thinking about an item to counter compasses, but it would be limited and it would need to be balanced. What are your ideas about it? What do you think about it having a time and a use limit?

    Hmmm a time limit would be a great balance to it. My thoughts on that are
    1: Adding a time limit for its ability once activated would be a good balance. Now the amount of time that would be given for the ability would come later after other things.

    2: The amount of uses I think should be unlimited, but there is a cool down on when the next time you can use it. I think depending on how long the ability lasts the cool down should be at least 30 mins. As stated you would have to work the cool down with the amount of time the ability is active for to make a good balance.

    3: Now this counter item, would it completely take you off the compass tracking or would it as I stated earlier decrease your detected range to about 50%? Or something of the mix? Also I thought of if this item is going to be added it would be added in tiers as well.
    Example of what each tier would add.
    Tier 1: 25% decrease in detectable range on enemy compasses. Time/cooldown: NA
    Tier 2: 50% decrease in detectable range on enemy compasses. Time/cooldown: NA
    Tier 3: 75% decrease in detectable range on enemy compasses. Time/cooldown: NA
    Tier 4: 100% or completely undetectable to enemy compasses. Time/cooldown: NA

    The rarity of these would be decided and what zones they spawn in would come later after what people will thing of a good balance.

    Nothing needs to be changed to the compasses, they have been working fine. I really do think it would be too much work for just a compass. Some other people might like the idea though.

    If this were to be added it would also be nice if WarZ could take off name tags. Make it a bit more "realistic".
