How to get better FPS (1.8 Tip)

    So now that we are slowly going to 1.8 I thought it would be good to share a tip with you guys on how to increase your fps.

    This isn't Optifine what I am talking about but Optifine does increase your FPS and I highly recommend downloading it.

    Now the tip
    Go to your video settings and look for the button named "Use VBOs"

    It might be on a different place as I am using Optifine.

    Now, on default this is turned off. What you want to do is turn it on and you should have a better solid fps. Combine this with Optifine and you'll be ready for 1.8!

    VBO attempts to only render visual artifacts. This is similar to Advanced Open GL, but not everyone's computers support that.

    VBO is supported by everyone because it was designed for Minecraft.

    For example: If you are playing in a single player survival world with VBO on, caves and underground things won't be rendered while you are on the surface.
