Chat censoring in TS3.

    People like 'Jims' and 'Hexical_HD' tend to abuse the chat in TeamSpeak 3, as it doesn't censor anything. You can even advertise other servers.

    I think we should apply some censoring to the same words that are censored on the forums as well, this will work in order to protect younger members. This will make it much cleaner of rudeness as well.

    My other idea is that you could report people in Ts3 directly using the 'Make a complaint' option, which isn't available to us, non-staff people. This will allow to set things down a lot easier. Before commenting about staff members being on and what not, I have experienced things like nobody being online or busy from our staff. The reports would be checked by S-mods+
    It would require writing what is he doing; 'playing music', 'bullying' or other phrases could be simply inserted. This would allow to fix the complicated client drawing in and out thing of which I myself am tired of.

    I hope this can be done.
    If not, we now have more SMOD's and MOD's have more abilities on ts than in the past.
    Now there's probably always a staff member online who can help. :smile:

    Also disabling links and IPs in public channels would be a big help to prevent advertising and screamers etc.
    Proof of Hexical_HD abusing chat by the way?

    None, he just called me a 'pu$$y' because I am a shy bastard. I don't think it has to be taken into account since he considers it appropriate.

    Can't this report/complaint thing be abused by players? Let's say many people want to target someone because of past differences, can't they simply all report/complain about them? Numbers usually convince people, especially of the targeters plan it all out, like:
    Report/ complain every few minuets by a new person, making it look less "obvious"
    This will also be just like in game, why the "/report" command is always rejected.

    I do belive that the censoring should be a thing, I don't see why. Maybe replace bad words and a few bypass words with nice words? Like:
    You are a ****er =
    You are a helper

    I am not sure it is possible without any 3rd party custom coded plugins. If it was possible I think it would be a great idea. +1

    Maybe instead of disabling links all together, allow McBrawl and YouTube links to bypass it? Also another idea would be "SocialSpy." Kinda like in-game where S-Mods+ can read PMs, but only if it contains an word or phrase that was sent in a message. The server would censor the message then notify and S-Mod+ via automated PM who said the message and what they said.

    Like I said, it may not be possible, but would be really cool and useful if it was.

    I think we simply need to censor it, not to rephrase it. It will sound a lot like an ironic insult then.

    Once jailed, the user can no longer type, talk, or switch channels, or preform any actions. They can only hear.

    You jail people to prevent them from leaving channels. This prevents people from channel hopping excessively. Also, we have banning and kicking privileges as well, however it is very limited to prevent abuse.

    Not 100% sure if a chat censor is available for TS. I'll do more research on it when I'm home.
