Alright, Please do not start a flame war about this one. I am sorry in advance for what I may say.

    Mods
A big part of any server, mods are a key point for players who want to make this a great community. It just so happens that those players who kind of deserve mod are not getting them, in fact, some of the very rude players you may be mad at, is just the same as some of our mods. You know who you are. Why is this so, Zap? I have explained a bit about this before, because of bias in our community. Go find that thread, you may just consider the idea. It honestly is not the war mod's fault. Our community is based off of the logic that: He killed me? NOOOOOOOOB!!! Crossbow? NOOOOOBBB!!!! Minigun? NOOOOOBBBB!!!!!!! C4? meh (little laugh right there for me ) A huge part of our mods are NOT people who want to help the community, but they want the status of mod, because that gives them power. I just went through the whole campain of AW, and Mr. Irons, our main antagonist (spoilers!!!) explains a bunch about power. He states that power is everything. It is to be honest. I do not blame the majority of mods for wanting power. That is what it gives them. I completely respect the @Chopo101 s, @BrawlerAce_ (rest in Reese's Pieces), and @Majora_Jora (rest in spookaroni) of this world. They have made a great impact on this community, and they should be followed. The problem is we do not change. This has lead to the rest of the mods not really moderating. You may argue ''I monitored them, they are good'' The only reason they are being nice, helping the community, is they need this to become a mod. This system is obviously broken in many ways. Some people, who have not been of the greatest impact to the community, like @jaydenchadd and @Lord_Roke. They have given you what you expect from a moderator. Others have not been as to my liking. I have come to realize that giving people the ability to get mod with enough work is not working. What is my suggestion? No mod applications at all. You heard me, none. Players who have been a huge part of this community, and have contributed a great deal to help the rest of us, will be asked to be moderator. Instead of the players, mods, or admins deciding who gets mod, there would be a council of highly ranked members in each selected community. They would decide if someone would get moderator, they would only be selected to be one if 90%+ of the council members agree. This way there would be no bias, and no arguing if someone can get mod or not.

Thanks for reading Part 2 of my rant.

I have no comment in this. I see Zap's side adn people have the right of free speech. And @jaydenchadd 's point of view. So for me, mixed opinions.

I think some people on the forums are just here to try-hard to get mod. This is an issue because those people can get still get mod, and once they do, they do a trashy job at it. Other than that, I think Roke and Jayden have done nothing wrong, and most of the staff are quality individuals.

Okay, do you realize how hard it is to be a mod with two servers you need to moderate (like @Lord_Roke)? The answer is most likely no. It is very hard, also the admins just chose Roke as an SMOD! He is obviously doing good work to get that (the admins and my opinion).
What do you want from me?

Zap: I don't want anything from you: in fact, you're doing everything right. A few moderators in this community are not doing that, and they're just out there to get mod.

I think if you are trying to say the mods aren't doing their job because the community is ****ty, you should say something else.

Before you blame the moderators for the immaturity of the players, you should stop to think. If there are 70 players on a server, and even if there were enough mods for there to be 1 per server, not a single ****ing person would listen to them if they say something

The mods' job isn't even to monitor chat for that, it's to prevent rule breakers from breaking rules. If you think the mods cater to people like yourself who consider themselves more "mature" than the average player, then get your head out of your ass.

Sure, it's true that there are incompetent mods. There always have, and there always will be. But just because people have poor sportsmanship, doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the mod system.

Mods who only seek promotion for the power and free ranks always get demoted. If they don't do their duties, they get demoted. As long as they perform their duties, and they do them well, they will be considered a good mod no matter what their motive.

If mod rank is just HANDED to people deemed worthy, then none of the mods would give a flying **** about what they do. The application process and requirements for being a mod are what make people put effort into the position. If it's so hard to get mod, they better damn work and prove they're up for it.

    TL;DR
you dont know what youre talking about. you are mad because the player base annoys you. you dont know how to use /block. you take this anger out on the mods. stop it, it is stupid.

Firstly, you don't know anything about the staff side. We have skype groups that is continuously being used by all mods and the progress we make as a whole is enormous. We make sure by looking at individual staff member their activity and if they haven't been active recently then we are more then willing to remove the staff rank. To summarize, the admins/smods all make sure the mods are staying on top of their jobs. We literally just promoted 6 members a few days ago to make sure we don't run down on moderators and run into issues like this post. We carefully promote as well, you can see that MANY mod applications have denied and only few have been accepted but even then a trial is activated for the new mod and we see if the mod is worthy. Please don't make assumptions when you don't know even half the story.

I support the Mods they have a tough job and they are volunteering their time.

    Yes, we need Mod applications.

Yes, we need more community self monitoring.

I think it is hyper critical to ask a handful of mods to police all the servers at all times of the day.

    Mods keep doing your job.

    And thank you!

Mods try but it is essentially impossible to be perfect...
We can watch the servers all the time but that means people are on 24/7...
Becoming a Mod requires sacrifice and it isn't for everyone... You lose social life, possible friends, and even have a chance of ruining real life relationships
With upper staff knowing that, that is why not everyone can be accepted as it is such a massive task and requires a mature player with time
I agree we need more staff, but honestly that really won't do that much unless we had like 100+ staff which is then calling for corruption...
