I really despise these threads.

Nothing is done from making these kind of threads - we know the WarZ community is not the best, it doesn't mean that you have to make countless amounts of threads to justify that reason. It makes the forums community look bad, and is just plain out pointless.

 

I agree, making this pointless threads won't help the community. Even though I know that the server is quite full of those people who DDOS.

 

I really should be backing up the staff, but he brings up a ton of valid points here.

I rarely play WarZ, but last week I decided to log in for the first time in awhile, and I picked up an enemy on my compass right away. It was a generally easy fight, he was only in iron with tier III weapons. I killed him and the first thing he puts in chat is, "FP recorded skid get banned."
It's been said many times in the past that WarZ mods need more perms, and I strongly agree. What we really need though is a whole lot of WarZ staff members to moderate every server.

And please, PLEASE, do not turn this into a flame war.

 

No, it won't. But embracing it even more publicly even more does not make it any better.

Well, for one any kind of indication of DDoS threats that he has made was through a private message and as you know moderators cannot view private messages. Not to mention you cannot say that it is common considering this is your FIRST time playing in a while. Throughout the last 6 months that I've been playing this server, I RARELY ever run into DDoS threats on the server.

I never said it isn't an issue, we are fully aware of how big of an issue DDoS is in the community, but the sad part is, is that there isn't too much we can do about it.

 

I'm just going to make a point, but players are less likely to threaten staff members than normal members.

 

Reason I bring up this point is because reported DDoS threats are only accepted if a staff member reports them.

 

Do you realize how strict these rules are? I'm pretty sure almost everyone has made atleast ONE hackusation during their time here at brawl, joking or not. We have rules set in place to mute players if they make hackusations, disrespect, etc.

If your belief is that we need more staff, there is no reason to create this kind of thread - you can simply just PM a staff member (admin) with your reasoning. Hence another reason why it is pointless to make this kind of thread. We are always looking for WarZ staff, but it's hard to find the right people that can take on this position. It's always good to have more WarZ mods, but not when they aren't the best choice for that position. Not to mention, judging to how this thread was written it looks like you are just bashing on the warz community rather than trying to say that more staff is needed.

It's difficult to come up with a way to stop DDoS threats, we ban people who make them and that should be enough. Imposing more people into the moderator position is not the way to go just because of the fact that it's hard to find the perfect warz staff member. You should also try to be more positive and try to suggest some ideas rather than just flaming the WarZ community.

But it's kind of true, I still remember getting threatened a few months back. (April to May)

 

Thats just plain out stupid... No wonder people who DDoS threat are rarely banned.
