Idea IP Banning

    I am seeing so many alts thees days. Why dont we just IP ban players? It would certainly make WarZ so much more fun.

    I'm pretty sure that McBrawl does IP ban people (kcl). However many of the people that hack and DDoS can also change their IP, it's easier to just ban the new account for alt of (banned player) and move on.

    They will just change there ip like kcl so there is really no point

    Also, they can be playing on a friends account, or at er house where IP are diffrent and make an account there.

    I would generally hate this. My brothers plays mine craft as well, if one day he decided to start hacking and got IP Banned then I would Be banned as well.

    Also, people can just change their IP so they can no longer be banned.

    Believe me, ban evading is just one download away... Xgen, an undisclosed moderator, and myself planned it. No one knew. It worked too

    They are IP-banned, but players are exposed to easy to-get VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) which enable them to have a dynamic IP.

    Physically changing the IP on your computer is illegal (In the United States at least). Manually changing the IP is like erasing the serial number from a gun. Although IPs are computer specific it is possible to connect through (what poaches said) VPNs.
    So on a basic level, IP banning will work. However smarter or more daring players will definitely try to connect through alternative ways.
