Urgent help (Wondering if I should apply for MOD)

First, welcome to the forums!

Second, a 300+ (correct me if I'm wrong) post count is reccomended to apply for mod. You don't always have to have this unless your posts are always on topic and very helpful.

Third, always try to be helpful. Just because a mod isn't online doesn't mean you can't step in and tell a player who's breaking the rules to stop.

There are many other guides and threads explaining what the admins are looking for when they hire mods, so be sure to check those out!

 

You should act maturely and helpfully. If someone is breaking a rule on mc-war and no mod is online, you should: tell the player to stop, get a mod on the server, and/or report the player is necessary. Also, read this if you haven't already.

 

Being a moderator is down to your natural mindset, if you push yourself into being something your not, it'll stick out like a sore thumb to the higher ups.

Not everyone can be staff I hope you acknowledge. Don't try too hard, just relax, and if you're the right person, then the result will correspond.

 

No. You need to post a bit more on the forums and get to know the active forum users. Most players say you need 300+ posts, however that really isn't the case. Just be active and post quality, helpful posts. Your grammar seems alright so that's a plus. Try to come on TS and talk to the community more. Finally, be active on War and report any rule breakers.

As Robbie said, this role isn't for everyone in the community.
These are a few things that you'll have to deal with, so you can see if it would suit you or not:

- Deal with rule breakers
- Calm down people in chat
- Keep up work hours on Teamspeak and In-game
- Post helpful comments on the forums everyday

If there is something there that you really wouldn't want to do, then I wouldn't recommend applying.

Get more posts on the forums, (300 recommended) as well as going on Teamspeak, as I have never seen you on but this could be due to timezones.

 

Then you're definitely on the right track.

 

Best if you don't apply for moderator. They're just Chap's slaves.

As a former staff member, I can tell you that aiming for staff isn't easy. You have to deal with many things in ts3, in-game and the forums, most of the time they are very tedious. There's a lot of different factors that come into play as a moderator (such as work/play hours, rule breaker reports, etc.) but if you're an all around active and helpful player you will have no problem adapting as a staff member.

My personal tip to you is to be patient; get your ts3 and forums activity up, they're the fields that matter the most.

I would do my research Striker_Sly, the turnover for mods is high, many don't last long, and there are a lot of unglamorous parts to the job.
