    At the moment yes the border is 1,000 blocks.

    Survival and Party are both 1.8 only.

    We fixed guardians a few hours before I posted this changelog. Darn you!

    The nether size is 1/8 of the real world, so it is at a 2,000 block radius expanding to 4,000 over the period of 4 weeks. This is because 1 block in the nether is 8 in the overworld. So, it's proportional using Minecraft's standards.

    8,000 divided by 8 equals 1,000. I personally believe a 2,000 block border on the nether is way too small. All of the blaze spawners will be taken and you can't build anything in that small area. It should be larger like 7k+ blocks.

    Wow, I don't even know how my math made sense at the time. Let's have the nether 1/2 the size of the overworld. So, how does a max radius of 8,000 blocks sound? A tad smaller than last map, but not too bad.

    That sounds a lot better. On the old map the nether was 10k, but 10k is way too large, I never even saw the nether boarder. 8k gives a lot of room for expansion, I traveled most of the old map and the development past 3-4k in the nether was minimal. 8k block border would be ideal.
