    So I have been wanting to start editing and creating resource packs on my new computer (MAC) and have tried GIMP and the download does not work. The application downloads and then never responds. So I was wondering if you guys could help me in finding a FREE program to edit and create resource packs. Thanks for your help.

    GIMP is a free version of Photoshop, so that is of course the best. Try paint.net or MS Paint.

    So emulate Windows and get MS Paint or visit paint.net, if that works over there.

    You can always torrent Photoshop. That's your best bet when creating resource packs.

    Try gimp on another site. I'm not sure if photoshop works on mac... but Photoshop CS2 Is free.
