You can't rate other staff applications. Well I guess you mean voting but I think that you should be able to show your emotion on applications and allow ratings.

 

It's not a good idea to let the entire community comment on staff applications. Only old, mature, or respected members should be allowed to.

 

If you want to tell the applicant something, then send them a PM or comment on their profile.

 

What if you have something to say? Like everybody else loves the applicant but you've seen him rage in game. You could put that on their profile, sure, but the admins (from what I know) don't always look at that; or they might miss it.

 

No, there are too many immature members who will probably start flame wars and a lot of people will just comment +1 which isn't helpful at all when you can just vote on the poll.

 

This right here could work. A player with a high post count ( let's say 500+ posts) doesn't come along often. If the player abuses the privilege, we can just take it away.

Maybe not all non-staff members should be aloud. Maybe only members from the notable members board?

 

We could make a rank like "Reviewer" or something that lets your comment on staff apps. Only respectable members would be allowed to get it and you could apply for it like you would for mod.

There are too many immature-ish people who enjoy to avoid using common sense. This shouldn't track posts, as well.

 

This didn't work out before, it won't work again. There are other communities that still have the system we used to have and it doesn't work very well for them either. If you feel like something is wrong with their app and no one is saying anything about it, just ask a mod to say it for you.

First of all, moderators don't always see what applicants do behind the scenes when they are not on, but if more people saw, and commented, things would be better for staff to see.

50% of the votes on a poll are votes because of a minor grudge or hatred for no reason, or just because they are immature. I say if you vote on the poll, you must write a 20 word comment at minimum about the applicant.

Lastly, everyone deserve to express their feelings about the applicant, but of all you do is send a PM, no one else can see it.

 

But you know that there's always gonna be that one guy who dislikes you and writes a bad reply. And there's also gonna be that best friend and he's gonna write the nicest things and just say he likes the application. That's why moderators are only allowed to reply because they give their TRUE opinions about moderator application's.

 

Read the above posts. If this was implemented, there would probably be a special rank and only trustworthy and mature people would get accepted for the rank.

 

That would be nice for those ranks. It will also help you (if you're making a mod app) that you have those ranks.
