    Hello Fancy Cats! I have had this idea for a VERY long time. My company was originally going to produce this concept, but after spending around $1000 in development costs, we dropped the project. I would like to introduce this idea to Brawl, in hopes that one day this can be a real thing.

    IDEA/CONCEPT
    The idea for the game is quite simple: to replicate a MMORPG into Minecraft. Ever played Runescape? You were placed in a huge map, with several objectives and tasks to complete while at the same time, upgrading your equipment and items and collecting as much as you can. My idea was to bring this game style into Minecraft.

    Before I go into full detail, is anyone interested?

    +1 would enjoy this, it would bring in more people such as RS players that enjoy minecraft as well

    Not trying to advertise, but this idea has already been executed.

    I used RuneScape purely for example purposes.

    Not sure why you would claim they were the same thing when I had not even mentioned specific details. I did not even know Wynncraft was a server.

    Just watched some game play from the server. Similar concept, but completely different executions.

    You know there is already a BIG server that does a MMORPG server ? But I think that McBrawl's version will be better :smile:

    Anyways this is a fantastic idea and I would play the heck out of it if it was here. This has been suggested before and nothing was done about it, sadly.

    Absolutely. Remember: RPG is a very vague term. Just because server have attempted to make it, does not mean Brawl can not create an original and fun server using the same concept.

    No, that is not something that would really be appropriate. Adding guns to a game does not make it original. In fact, it makes it quite the opposite.

    Erm, then perhaps you could tell us more about your idea. I'd hate for it to be something like the server @pickenchutty mentioned earlier.

    I'd rather have something like Borderlands and......

    Please do not assume that because there is a server with the same concept, that means it is the same idea. You do realize how many servers have replicated Call of Duty, correct? Brawl was not the first, but does that mean they copied everyone else?

    Actually, McBrawl (MServers) had the very first server that was directly based on Call of Duty, and had that name all over it. Orange451 previously developed a gun plugin, but it wasn't themed off anything. Check his last post for reference.

    A lot of server also use Call of Duty. The point of this was: just because it is the same concept does not mean it is the same idea. If you make it original, and unique, people will be attracted.

    Creating something big and complex like a RPG-server is difficult and takes a lot of time and effort to keep it running (balancing, updating etc.). That's why I think Brawl is not suited for this server idea.


    But I like the idea.

    Imagine preparing an attack and a Ghostrider (Boss-Creeper) comes out of nowhere and kills the whole guild.

    You could of had kind of misunderstood me there. Mc-War was the first Call of Duty server.

    As for the originality, it actually depends. If we make it impossible to progress, who's going to play it besides grinders?

    This is a game for a lot of different players. Will there be dedicated grinders? Absolutely. Will they be better equipped for fighting off other players or doing quests? Sure. But a game like this also offers fun for people who like to role play, complete missions, or work with teams.
