The problems with MC-war.

Yeah, maybe leave definitely the servers.

 

Only because someone has a staff rank, it doesn't mean he is never allowed to afk for a short amount of time (5 minutes or less). Moderators are volunteers and they do a lot of great work, do you really want them to leave the server everytime they need to look at Teamspeak chat, handle a rulebreaker on Teamspeak or lock a thread quickly? Remember, we also have a real life as well. Maybe a parent came in and wanted to talk to the staff member.

There have been several threads in this section already telling the exact same informations.

How can less people on Teamspeak cause trouble? And I know many staff members, including myself, who enjoy using Teamspeak and do it because they can talk to their friends there.

In contrast to Skype, on Teamspeak there can be SERVERS for a specific Minecraft server, Gaming clan etc.
If you want to get connected to other people playing Brawl, it is way easier to join a Teamspeak server then to ask random people in Minecraft chat for their skype name.
I hardly ever use Skype to communicate anymore, and I have never talked to another staff member over skype in the last year.

The Teamspeak server allows the players in our community to get to know eachother a lot better, making the community stronger. Moderating Teamspeak is definitely not a waste of time.
The admins didn't just say "We have a teamspeak server and now we force all staff members to be on it all the time". It is a requirement to have Teamspeak and you should be on it atleast a bit, but you don't need to join Teamspeak all the time.

 

When moderators "afk" they go to one of the hubs. Not in the server itself.
We all have homework, school, food, etc at some point.
Brawl has more servers than just War, basically all of our mods have two or more servers to moderate.

 

I myself already made a thread warning about people going OOM at every match that makes it VERY ANNOYING.
Not to mention the server lag which is absolutely horrible, I freeze every 3 seconds. It as become very bad and quite impossible to play.

Ok back on topic.

 

Why the complaining? Why not just be thankful that we have SMods banning hackers, coders coding servers for you, moderators dealing with chat?

Be thankful we have @yinscape to keep the Teamspeak, forums and servers running. Be thankful we have Putty and Signature accepting players for trial.

We do our best and don't even get paid. We volunteered for this job, be thankful.

Im just going to go back into the mods. A couple months ago there were the bests of mods. Now, its like no one cares anymore. Many mods left their position because they believe they cant change the community. If everyone believed in the server, its going to work out. Instead of spitting at people, mostly to those are doing their job, just thank them for actually trying to help the community. Believe in them that they can help. You cant always get your answers when you want them and get the things you want, when you want. Be greatful for what you got. You have only succeeded in life when the only things you want are the things you need.

 

If Myortvye could stop juggling 2-3 servers in his hands it would go a lot faster.
I'd rather have War over Moba any day.

And it's hard to be thankful when half of your mods are garbage.

Sure, you complain about everything wrong with McWar and Brawl, yet you provide no solution to fix it, from what I've read.

I agree with you on the 2.0 thing though. They announced its release over a year ago, and yet it still isn't here. Then they said it'd be coming out in January 2015 (maybe troll), and then we find out they are putting McMoba before that, and then fpsHG 2.0. And then UHC, and then Survival Games without guns. The coders are making McWar 2.0 look like the lowest priority at the moment.

 

Although it is understandable why war has been held back, it is kinda getting ridonkulous
