Story of Your Name

    Hello Fancy Cats! I noticed a few people on the forums explaining what their name meant, so I thought it might be cool to make an interactive thread about it. In this thread I want people to explain how/why they came up with their name. I will go first.

    I started gaming back in 2008. The first game I ever really got good at was Team Fortress 2, and that was on the Orange Box for XBOX 360. As I got farther into the game, in 2009 my friend got Team Fortress 2 on the computer, however, his computer was not able to handle the game. I asked him if I could have his steam account since his computer could not run games. So he gave me his account, and the Team Fortress 2 game code (Yes, this was back when you had to buy it in stores). Once I logged onto his account, His name was [email protected] (If you do not manually change your name, it starts as your email). For some reason, I decided to keep prof.bonkers. And I have been using that name for over six years now, in all my fields of work. Where did profbonkars come from? Well most of my friends called me "bonkars" instead of "bonkers" or "prof.bonkers", so I made my Minecraft name profbonkars instead of profbonkers.

    Now what is the story behind your name?

    Ok.

    Way way back I used to play this game called Mars Explorer on the computer. For that you needed to creat a name, the game had a lot of explosions so I named myself Kablamo54 (the numbers because it sounded good). Later I got a MineCraft account so I needed something new, so all I did was take off the Ka and ended up with Blamo54 (did you know there are 54 slots in a double chest?). Then when name changes came around I changed my name to Blamo. I've had that ever since.

    My name and all my alts names are coffee related because coffee is my favorite beverage, and it has real life connections too.

    Well, Jkzoom has a simple origin. I was brainstorming for names and I saw the internet phrase "jk" as in "just kidding". I put it together with something that rolled off the tongue and Jkzoom was born. Of course it doesn't mean anything, the common misconception is something someone says after making a crude joke: "just kidding" and running away.
    My other screen name, Heartstone, comes from the first book in a series I'm currently writing called The Dragons of Haven: Dream. The Heartstone keeps the life force of all dragons safe inside it and maintains nature inside the hidden island of haven, hence the name in relation to me, the creator of the story.

    My friend hoards Minecraft accounts (have no idea how) and gave me this one in exchange for a gummy bear. He didn't know the password to the email though, so I can't change my username :frowning:

    I wish I had a cool story as to why I chose my name. My older brother bought me mincraft a year ago and told me to not choose a bad name. He didn't like Cuddlemonster when I thought of that, so I chose it! Cuddlemonster was apparently taken, so I added 09.

    I got my name because My Real name was tooken so like 1 hour later my mum says Cobosa im like ???. she says the start of all my animals names combinded. thats where i got mine

    My marketing and research team determined this was the most popular name to market.

    Just kidding.

    The real story is that my cycling teammates call me "Evil". I race and I'm known for pushing people to be better (whether they want to or not). Besides challenging the status quo, kicking butt, and getting people to look at things differently I am known to be quite the task master.

    The name just stuck and I love it.

    Aha, and the ladies like it too. :wink:
