    For those who have played CoD, they know whenever you shoot something it shows a bullet hole through it. I would be curious if it is possible to make it that when a block is shot, it added damage onto it (when you break a block in minecraft, the cracks). Blocks won't break but they will go to maximum damage.
    I easily see some of the texture pack makers creating bullet holes making the map look cool. Its just an idea.

    That would be interesting, although I'm not sure how it would be done, and people breaking blocks with guns could lead to major problems. Otherwise, I like it!

    When a block is shot, it takes player damage but won't break. Think of it like this, when a glass pane is shot, it breaks. When a normal block is shot, it takes damage. Blocks won't break but it will take a lot of crack damage.

    Since the blocks have a breaking texture, people could easily make when a snowball hits a block a crack is seen

    Great idea, the only problem is it would make it easier to accidentally break a block when you have, say, a 20 killstreak and scope in to kill that one last guy.
    Unless they can find a way to make the cracked textures not actually affect the time it takes to break said block.

    (Here I come, ruining dreams with logic again.)

    Not really. They can make it so players are in a gamemode where they can't touch/break blocks. That makes it even more realistic.

    that would be Adventure mode but with some little changes. like, in adventure mode you can break blocks with their tool (pickaxe breaks stone, Axe breaks wood and shovel breaks dirt and sand), so maybe adventure mode can be edited to make any block unbreakable but making a crack on the block with every snowball that hits it
