Helper rank is now real !

Signatured said that more information would be released post the newest staff meeting. That thing in /list has been there since around around Jan. 26 (according to other threads)

 

This has been round for quite a while, and I've always wanted to see something like this in the action.

 

Looks like you over heard me talking about /list... And there isn't very much info on it.

Another thing is that Youtuber is no longer yellow, and VIP is no longer green.

According to last meeting, the plan was to give the rank out to some old, trustworthy members at first to test it out. After that, there will be an application for it. It will be easier to apply for than moderator.

 

If there is a helper, you should first apply for that then you can apply for moderator. This would be newcomer friendly for all those spams for moderator applications. Also if you have lots of Helpers then there would be more discipline in the servers and less rule breakers. I've always wanted Helper to be a rank ^_^.

 

The current plan was to keep both of these ranks separate. We already have the trial stage for moderators. I think what Putty said was that applying for helper might help in a mod application, but wouldn't guarantee acceptance. However, it would not be required for players to apply for helper before they can become a moderator either.

 

This could potentially make lots of people skip the helper app, and just go straight for the moderator. I don't know about anything about the meeting, but I would like to see Helper be put before moderator so avoid spamming for moderator rank and make Helper easier for accepting.

Helper will be easier to get. Not many people are ready to be a moderator, but more will be ready for helper I'm sure. What I foresee is people applying for mod, getting denied, applying for helper, and getting accepted if they just don't meet the requirements for mod.
