Brawl Moderator Application: Hi Brawlers, before I start my application I would like to thank soccerstars for pushing me to reapply. Thanks bud

Have you read over this thread? - Yes, I have read over the thread, and I also read it the first time I had applied.

What is your in-game name? - My in-game name is Andoconda_.

Have you changed your name in the past? If you have, please list them. - Names I've had in the past were _Andoconda and spinjitzu123.

Does anyone else have access to your Minecraft account? - No, no one at all has access to my Minecraft account and I won't give access to anyone in the future either.

How old are you? - I am 13 years of age, turning 14 in June 27. I may seem a bit young, but I am very mature for my age, even though I joke around a lot.

What time zone are you in? - I am in PST time zone (Pacific Standard Time)

Are you multilingual? Can you speak multiple languages? - Yes, I am multilingual. Armenian was my first language, then I learned to speak English before I started 1st grade. I don't think however that speaking Armenian will be much help, since there aren't much Armenian players on Brawl.

What is your experience and knowledge of Minecraft? - I have played the full version of Minecraft since July, 2012, proof here: http://gyazo.com/33ab949250454bc158e1df4cb0ba18f5

I was first introduced to Minecraft by one of my friends. I first played the really old free version for about half a year. It was like creative mode, with no flying, and the servers I had went on had minigames which I had fun playing on. After a while I played the cracked version and played only Single Player while my friend that I mentioned above was guiding me through on how to play. I eventually got better at survival, started to learn all the crafting recipes and where to find certain ores and resources. I played the cracked version for about a month, then I got the full version for my birthday. I was totally in awe from playing Multiplayer. The first server I played on was LockedCraft, a Towny server. I joined one of the most powerful and popular towns and became a mod of that town (not sure if it was a mod, I haven't played Towny ever since). Then around late 2012 - early 2013, I was searching for servers and I found MultiPlayerServers. I was completely addicted to MC-War and played it ever since. Then I stopped playing for about 6 months because my father decided to renovate our house, therefore making me unable to play on the computer. I have not really played any other servers other than MPS/Brawl. I feel I have a wide experience and knowledge of Minecraft.

What is your experience with moderating servers, if any? - I have moderated on a lot of friend's servers back in 2012, and I would say I did a pretty good job on it. I don't have proof for those servers, since it was so long ago, unfortunately.

I recently moderated on a PvP server called TitanPvP, was a new server made by Snail_5_ and his friend (which explained my slight activity drop during that time). It got around 5-20 players, which seemed decent since it was a brand new server. I got demoted because of inactivity, since the server got less and less people to the point where now every day it is at 0-2 people, so I didn't want to go on the server when there was no one on. Proof: http://imgur.com/bMqfRJy

What will you provide to the community if you are provided moderator status? - I will provide the community less spammers, flamers, and rule breakers. Since my time zone differs from other War mods, and that I don't see a mod on every day, I can help tremendously with the servers. Also, I have submitted around 5 rule breaker report (even though they aren't showing up for some reason), but I don't need to most of the time because I can always message a mod that is on my friends list.

Have you ever used a hacked client before? - I have never used a hacked client before, and I don't plan to in the future. I have had a bad history with hackers on Minecraft, so I do not take to kindly of them.

Have you ever been banned on a Minecraft server? If so, why? - I have not been banned on a Minecraft server, but I have been jailed and muted on LockedCraft because, me being the immature child I was back then, I started to spam out of boredom.

What do you consider your greatest strength? - My greatest strength is learning new things very quickly. I am placed in 8th grade Geometry due to having this skill. I can use this for whenever a new ban protocol is made, or when there is a new command.

What do you consider your greatest weakness? - My weakness is that I tend to mess up quite a bit. I don't know if I have a different thinking process than others, but I am trying to fix this. I can't really give much of a general explanation as to why I do this.

How active do you consider yourself on Brawl? - I would consider myself moderately active. On weekdays, I could be on for 1 hour to 3 hours. It's not the best time, but it is all I can get. On weekdays, however, my activity is 4 hours - 7 hours. I believe this is very good because more people are on at weekends, and I can be there longer. My activity on the forums is average, having around 300 posts which is the recommended amount.

Which Brawl servers are you most active on? - The Brawl servers I am most active on are MC-War, Minecraft Party, Minestrike, and I am just starting to get into Survival PvP.

How many hours can you provide a day and during what time frame? - I can provide on average 1 and a half hours on weekdays and around 5 hours on weekends. (I don't understand what is meant by "time frame." If I am told what it is meant I will update the application).

What would you do if someone breaks a rule in-game? - Depending on the transgression:
    - If it is a chat offense, I would first warn the person via chat or PM and for them to read the rules. If they disobey my warning and offend again, I would mute them for 5 minutes, and the time would go up by intervals of 5 each time they keep breaking chat rules.

    - If the player is glitching in-game, I would warn them to never do it again. If I see the same person glitch again, I will record it, and kick him from the server.

    - If the player is hacking, I will immediately open ScreenFlow and capture footage of the hacker. Once I get footage, I would send a S-Mod or Admin the proof, and tempban the player, until the higher staff takes care of it.

What would you do if someone breaks a rule on the forums? - If someone breaks a rule on the forums, such as, flame, grave digging, duped thread, or off-topic, I would lock the thread and start a conversation with the player telling him that he has broken a rule and should read the rules to ensure he doesn't make the same mistake.

What would you do if someone breaks a rule on TS3? - If the player is:
    - Not changing their username to their in-game name, I would kindly tell the player to change it.

    - Using a voice changer or trolling, I would tell the player to stop, if they don't listen, I would move them into a private channel or the channel with 2 people (if it is open) to warn them if they don't stop, it will be a ban (however, I don't know if a ban would be suitable for something like this).

Situation (as a staff member): You log on Brawl, and you’re told that there is a huge, game-breaking economy glitch. No Admins are online to solve the situation. What steps would you take to handle the issue? - I would PM an Admin over the forums to let them know, and I would watch over the economy glitch and warn if anyone abuses the glitch, punishment will be brought.

How many Brawl staff applications have you made in the past? - I made one staff application before, but it was for Minecraft Party, not War.

What is the date of the last application you submitted? - 2/14/15

Do you have a working microphone? - I have a working Turtlebeach P4c microphone that I use for Teamspeak and Skype almost every day.

Are you able to record and upload videos? - I have ScreenFlow and I use that to record and upload videos to my YouTube channel.

Do you generally know how all the staff member commands work? - Yes, I know how the general staff commands work, such as, /mute, /kick, and /fp.

To conclude this application, I want to say that I feel that I have improved since the last application, with length, and forum posts, as well as my staff experience.

Thank you for taking your time to read.

Edit: Took off the note for starting the interview later.

    Sincerely,
    Ando

You are active in-game, on the forums, and on Teamspeak. You also are bilingual which is good even if you don't think it helps. You are also very friendly, and you realise the responsibility of a moderator.

Ando, thank you for applying. I see you in game often, and you are always being friendly and helpful. You have 300+ forum posts, which is right around our recommended average. I do see you on TeamSpeak quite often, although you could definitely work on your time. +1 for me.

I don't think I need to repeat what the others have said.
It would be great to have another moderator that's my age!

Everything looks good! Just become a little more active on the forums and you'll be in for the win.

But why war? You recently applied for Party. What changed?

    Thanks Blamo!

I applied for Party at that time because I had taken a break from War, but I am back playing it now.

Application: You wrote your application well in my opinion. Nothing stood out as especially good or bad to me. Your application was fine grammatically, but I would have liked to see you answer some questions more in-depth or with more relevant information. I wanted to see your answers give me a good idea of who you are and why you should be a moderator. I didn't really get a good idea of that from your app. The length of your application is average, and roughly the length of some previously accepted applications. Other than that, I have little else to say. If this application is not accepted, I would recommend working on your answers to the "What will you provide the community" and "Have you had any previous experience as a moderator" questions. Make your answers to the first question more unique. The stuff you listed could be provided by most people. What unique thing can you, and only you bring to the table? As for the second question, tell how your previous experiences as a moderator have prepared you for this position. For your overall application, I'll give you a -1.

In-game activity: You seem to be active on War. I don't know about your helpfulness as I don't play much war myself, but you seem good in this category. +1

TS3 activity: It's difficult to judge Teamspeak activity. I've seen you on once or twice, but I haven't been watching for you. +0

Forums activity: Your forums activity is ok. The War section is probably the most active section of the forums. Whereas you seem concerned with bettering the community through your numerous server ideas, you still strike me as relatively new here. You come off as mature, but you don't seem to be especially active. You definitely have potential, but you will need to become more active on the forums before you get my seal of approval in this area. -1

Notes: I want you to become a mod. I see great potential in you. Right now, I think it's a little early for you to apply for mod. You only have to do a little bit more to convince me. You're so close, but I just don't think it's time yet.

    Overall: -1

Nevertheless, good luck with your application.

You were the one I feared to reply :v

But in all seriousness, thank you for your reply. Since you call yourself a "perfectionist," your replies can greatly help me improve if I get denied, and if I am accepted. The Teamspeak activity is pretty hard to judge, because I also have only seen you on once or twice of all my time spent on Teamspeak. I am always checking the forums, and it's the most I can do while I am focusing mainly on school for a few more weeks. I only reply to a thread when a reply is needed, most of the time.

Nonetheless, thank you for your reply, I will use it to improve even further.
