    My computer has been getting slower and slower and is not on the point of DEAD. I can now afford a new PC and need some advice on making my custom computer!

    Here is what I have so far:

    Suggest getting a gtx 600 power supply but your choice.

    You'll get a long way with 1k. I'm no expert on part picking, though.

    Get i7 if you don't only want to play Minecraft.

    Swap out the i5 and that mobo for an FX 8320 and an Asus M5A97 R2.0 and use your current old computer's disk drive, then use the extra money for a better graphics card and maybe an ssd. This will be better overall if you overclock the FX (i got mine to 4.2 ghz)

    Am I the only one who knows about computers here? I deal with them everyday. The computer is fine and it will run games good and that's it.

    You can't wait the extra 10 seconds??

    He will need a bigger budget to get that. I'm hoping when he gets this pc he will stop macroing.
