    Music these days (mostly pop) is absolutely horrible. People either need to add sex, money, drugs, and profanity for their songs to be good. Then there's computers and auto tune to enhance their voice because they can't even sing. Dubstep also gets on my nerves. Don't get me wrong it's enjoyable to listen to (for some people) but it's a guy on a computer creating computer made music. I can't call that music. It's more like computer sounds. If you compare the music now to the music back in the day you can see how much it has changed. There is obviously still good or decent music these days but not as common as before. Now people just want to listen to the first thing that goes viral on the internet. That is not MUSIC people! That is crap. Pop used to be an energetic type of music that was mainly singing and instruments. Now people view pop as shirtless guys using computers in a disgusting video. Old music might be, well, old, but at least it is real. There are real people with real instruments singing real notes. Society needs to pay attention to what is happening to music nowadays. Actually I'm not going to call it music. I'm going to call it crap.

    Pop is not creative by any chance :V

    Though it's not "a random guy creating random music on a computer", and making good electronic music takes effort. Too much of it, in-fact. I'm defending dubstep b/c it is dead pretty much on any labels other than Disciple or MA.

    But I do have to agree. While there are a couple of mainstream singers that are actually good, most of them are awful. Most can't even sing without autotune.

    I get what I listen to from Osu! most of the time so I listen to various kinds of music. Remember back in 2014 when there were these horribly composed songs about butts? Yeah our generation descended from there.

    I really don't have a ton of respect for electric music, as the computer reads what you have told it to do, and it plays it for you. The computer "allows" you to make the music. The music today is just a script of code that is read, then produced. However, a piano or harpsichord requires that you dictate the music. You create the music in that instant, and only you do it. For example, in an electric guitar, all it think is "Oh, you moved this string? I'll play this note for you". There is only one purely electro song I will listen to on my own, but that is because it is the theme song to the SSBM documentary.

    I think it depends on what music you're listening to because I agree for the most part, but 'music these days' has been an on going rant for decades. Either find a really good artist, or stay away from the bad ones because frankly there will always be trashy, unoriginal songs. It's up to you to whether you'll be bothered or not .
