    Ok guys, I am working on a map for minecraft party, and I want to know if the community thinks it is a good idea. The game is simple and I think it would be quite fun. Basically, nether stars spawn in the air and fall to a suspended platform. Whoever collects the most stars at the end of the time limit wins. I am looking for your opinions on whether or not this would be a good minigame, as well as your ideas that might improve the gameplay. For instance perhaps giving the players something enchanted with knockback to increase the overall fun/mayhem! I won't post screenshots of the map yet, since I am not nearly finished with it yet. I would really appreciate feedback so please leave a comment and vote in the poll!

    It's an ok idea. It would take some skill but the problem is minecraft has a system for who it decides to pick up the item. It depends on who's been in the game the longest so I don't know how well it would work.

    Really? I have never heard of that... Do you think the way the items were spawned affects who picks it up? Edit: I can't find anything on minecraft's system for who it decides to pick up the item. Mind giving me a wiki page or something? Also, what if I used experience orbs?

    Yes, I agree that would be a big problem. Maybe something different like avoiding the falling objects? Idk, but when it comes to picking up objects, some people would have trouble picking up items as Venom said.

    Can anyone give me information regarding this "system" for picking up items. I don't have any information on it. And again, I ask what if I used experience orbs. Those are way easier to pick up than items.

    could be a good idea, but the exp orbs spread far over ground.
    I think it makes the game kind of boring, just running around for XP, the nether star would be something
    if we can pick them up easily.

    Ok so everyone just jumps around to get XP and Nether stars. It seems pretty simplistic though I rarely play Minecraft Party but I'll say yes.

    Maybe make different things spawn too, and that they give different amounts of points...
