    So basically, I found a very simple way to increase your FPS tremendously.

    RAZER GAME BOOSTER IS A PURELY WINDOWS PROGRAM!

    OPTIFINE FORGE ONLY WORKS IN PLAIN 1.8.0, NO MORE RECENT 1.8 VERSIONS ARE COMPATIBLE!


    On average, I got about 60 FPS with 1.8.4 optifine with non maxed, medium grade settings. Now I run up to 150 FPS while playing. Here's how to do this.

    1) Download the latest version of forge here.
    2) Get Optifine with Forge. Tutorial here (Kid's a squeaker, but shows you how to do it.)
    3) Download Razer Game Booster here
    4) Install, open and run Razer Game Booster
    5) Add Minecraft. Tutorial to get Razer Game Booster is here
    6) Open Minecraft through Razer Game Booster
    7) Open your Forge and Optifine profile
    8) Now click Tab, go to options, video settings, and in the top right-hand corner, change Max framerate to Unlimited
    9) Join a server, and enjoy increased FPS

    It's funny because the unnecessary process removal is only necessary on Windows.

    If you can get Forge, and change that one setting, that'll do it. Razer Game Booster just makes the game smoother, doesn't actually increase FPS

    Yes, but some people don't know how to do that, and the setting that you have to change is what makes the difference :V
    For some people go gotta go that in-depth.

    You have to have forge to be able to change that setting, as it is not available in plain optifine. But if you get just forge, then you miss the extra boost from optifine.

    Added: Only works for plain 1.8.0

    Uh, you can do that setting in all versions of Minecraft OptiFine since around 1.5...

    Wierd, I wasn't able to find it, probably because I never really fully familiarized myself with the whole Optifine set up.
