Because yours is go to chests, run around, PvP. Ours is/was more on the order of your Survival PvP with kits and more SG/HG-ish stuff.

Edit: So yes, more like UHC with Kits and faster-paced gameplay. Also Soup PvP and No Soup options.

 

HG sounds exciting, I heard there was a large diversity of kits in this gamemode?

 

HG is basically survival soup/nosoup (depending on the server) pvp with tons of kits

In Hardcore Games, you can mine and build and craft gear. You then use all this gear to kill others. You're invincible for two minutes at the start, but after that you can be tracked and killed.

HG is quite exciting and intense, more so (in my opinion) than survival games. The random terrain as well as the variety of kits make this a very open ended and replayable game.

 

HG is quite different from your normal SG.

For starters, there are no chests, and the land is free to be dug up, mined, and broken as you wish.

There are also over a 100 different kits to choose from which provide many strategical advantages.

After playing the game for a while, you'll know all about every single kit

 

Depends on how you play. There are various "strategies" in HG.

For example, there's hunting, towering, trapping, mining.

Hunting is just hunting down other players and killing them, a very aggressive approach. A kit that would help would be like /kit Viking, where instead of swords, axes does more damage.

Towering is where you don't hunt, but you tower up high in the sky to avoid other players. Kits that goes well in towers would be endermage (to teleport players up and down), stomper (fall down to kill other people), and more.

Trapping is my favorite one. You pick trapping kits to kill people, such as Endermage or Demoman (blow up people). You can see some examples of traps in my YT channel.

Mining sorta goes hand-in-hand with hunting. Just gather resources and settle down in a cave to mine iron to make armor and sword to kill people late-game.

Correct. It's extremely open-ended - there's all those strategies, and you can execute all of them in different ways. For example, take mining - you can play the Miner kit to get your iron faster, or a kit like Ninja to mine slower but to give you a combat advantage when done. Towers and traps probably have the most different ways to execute them (though I find them boring because of all the waiting involved).

 

Somehow this reminds me of League, but this still sounds really nice, thanks for the info brosky (-I'm so bad-)
