    Hi, so on mcpvp we had this thing called clans. Basically, there was a prefix before your ign in game that said what clan you are in. This kind of relates to teams. You can create, join, and leave clans. Most people create a clan for there own team. You could do /clan c to talk to your clan members only. You could also search for clans on the website. I was wondering if this could be implemented since it kind of relates to teams. Thanks!

    So the clans were global, but if you wanted to be in a different team for a gamemode, was that possible?
    Like if you were in clan FOO, could you be in clan BAR on the Raid server?

    No you weren't, clans were global and you could only be in one.

    Most people just used a clan to add a tag to themselves like [Web] Tenshirox whilst teams would use the clan tag to identify with CTF Teams like [TTT] Tenshirox

    We already have server clans and teams, if we added this, you would have to be in same clan/team/group on all servers.

    This would be more of like a chat hangout, like Hypixel has with Guilds.

    Possibly, but I see it easily conflicting since all of our servers have their own set of teams, clans, and groups.

    I think there should be more behind the clans before adding them. It seems like a lot of work just for group chat in-game.

    @chickenputty Clans =/= teams
    Teams organize and play matches (at least on mcpvp), and clans are simply a few letters in front of your name. I don't honestly see the point. MCPVP used it as a reward for their in game XP system.

    Why not have a separate clans for CTF? Just like the rest of Brawl's servers as Chickenputty said

    Clans are also useful because they can help show who's on what team. For example, since I'm on Lunar Eclipse(ctf team), I could join the clan for Lunar Eclipse. It would look like this, [xLE] Rohaibcheema. People would know I'm from Lunar Eclipse.

    A lot of our current players are in a different War clans, WarZ groups, and Survival teams. I'm not sure how they would be able to associate under one common name. They would just end up creating yet another group for the global system.

    I understand the idea behind a global system that would allow you to associate with a common group, but it needs to have more to it than just a party chat to make it worth it.

    Hypixel's guilds allow a logon MOTD, player notifications, a party system, and a shop system that allows you to increase your guild size and guild bank. If we were to implement a global group system, I would also love to tie it with global credits and a global character experience level which is a huge system to undertake.

    Clans and teams were a separate thing on mcpvp, some teams had a clan, but being in it was optional.

    I really liked having a clan on MCPvP. It was a great way to differentiate between people in chat. It was a status symbol and having a clan was so swag.

    Aslo, it was network-wide on MCPvP as well. Nothing new there.

    If there's
    then I think this would be a great feature to add. You have the friends system that MCPvP was never able to put together. If you added clans this server would be even more player-friendly.

    If wasn't obvious enough; I'm with Rohaibcheema on this one. Clans should make a comeback.

    I remember in the McPVP days I was in a clan with my mates, great fun all the time :grinning:
