The ranks being gone, LISTEN

Listin Kid, you cant just come in from a desprate server and change everything. It sounds like lazyness to me. if you want to use WE. Apply for a stinkin' rank if you want WE access. besides, giving WE to unqualified people can cause some trouble. Brawl has learned its lesson (Many times). So quit asking for everything in your benefit and think what is fair for EVERYONE. Put youreselves in our position and what would you do?

Just because Brawl bought your withering server doesn't mean you can come in and replace one of our favorite servers. It's miserable for the lot of us.

 

That was before the creative server was advertised. The amount of players on was exponentially smaller, and less people means less rules/problems. And WE was not free upon joining, you had to ask Putty for it.

I'm on your side but I'm just pointing that out.

Hi guys! I'm going to try and answer all your questions about Build and hopefully put your mind at ease. First off, it's worth noting that Build is the type of creative server that Chap wanted from the start, which is why it is replacing Creative.

Secondly, you don't have to worry about losing builds: there are map downloading mods available (MineLoader, for example, downloads everything in your render distance to a map), and there will be a system that allows you to save schematics with WorldEdit and then gives you a download link. Creative will run alongside Build for awhile to allow this to happen.

Thirdly, there is absolutely no reason not to give WorldEdit to everybody. We have taken the necessary precautions to stop people from being able to crash the server, which has happened twice since I joined Brawl Creative 4 days ago. The 30k block limit and inability of players to WE laggy blocks means that the server will never crash (unless a mod makes a mistake ). Additionally, anything that causes frame lag is only restricted to that world rather than the whole server.

I understand that many of you have worked hard for your ranks and believe it to be unfair, but think of it in terms of a new player looking for a creative server. What would you rather play on: a server that restricts access to WorldEdit potentially for months, or one that gives every player equal access to its features?

tl;dr: Chap prefers it, you're not gonna lose your builds, no lag, equal opportunities for all players.

Huge worlds to work on where everybody has limited world edit that was hardly crashed seems quite superior to plots with no WE to begin with

We're not changing the server, your own admins are the one who decided on this because the positives far outweigh the negatives, so get your facts straight. The only reasons ranks were around on Creative was most likely to prevent lag and crashes which Build has also done but better. In your position I would be a lot more grateful and take off my nostalgia glasses, if you were a new player what would you play more, a run of the mill plot server or an open world WE server that's a lot less restrictive and hardly ever crashes?

Think with your minds and take off your rose tinted glasses, you will be able to retrieve your build and everybody will be equal which is good.

 

Just going to put my opinions out there.

1) If everyone received world edit, 12 year olds would decide to abuse it and crash the server
2) If someone desperately needs world edit, they should work hard for it or ask someone to do it for them. Simple as that.

 

1) They have restrictions which prevent crashing. And if a player uses frame lag blocks it'll only affect their worlds and nobody else's.
2) no need to if WE doesn't crash the server

 

Crashing has happened before. And it was painful. I asked a good friend of mine to help thaw snow and he decided to replace it with brick. Yeah that was quite painful.

 

That rarely happens on build, the servers have a 30k block restriction which does well and many blocks that kill servers are a no go.

If you want to see why build is good, you should check the CTF map section and see what great things come out of everybody having WE.

You misunderstand: you cannot crash MinecraftBuild with the restrictions we currently have in place.

Firstly, many of us are already applying for ranks, and we do have years of building experience. Don't demean us with "Listin Kid" and "lazyness" statements.

The administrators have made this decision. Not us. We are now a part of the community. We can either choose to pull together and strengthen the community, or throw fits and be as productive as the U.S. bipartisan system.

Arguing is pointless.

Judging by your spelling and terrible grammar, you're about 10 mate. So shut up.

 

Just keep the Normal Creative server, as a single server, which you can access by the compass and than have the merged server as well.

To me it just looks like you're butthurt that EVERYONE can use your features now. They can't even do bad stuff with it! Don't you think I've tried to crash the server? Spawned 30k item frames, enchanting tables, chests,... ? It's nearly impossible to let it crash and if you really want to spawn your 30k chests you will be the only one on the server suffering from it.
You don't even lose anything, you're just mad you're just a normal player again without your fancy rank even though you keep the features.

 

Why?

 

If everyone wants there ranks, and there getting pissed.
